I’m trying to find a butterfly mold that doesn’t already have a pattern to it. I bought several molds years ago when I was making a lot of these, but I can’t recall the manufacturer of them. I know they are a very nice quality. Love your videos. I’m getting back into this.

Hi Julie, my question is kind of related to your tutorial. I am planning to create a mosaic insert for my back patio. It's not tiled yet but already hv the tiles for the project. The tiles are about 9mm in thickness. Unless I use other coloured outdoor tiles of the same thickness to make the mosaic insert, what other choice do I have? Mosaic tiles and glass are thinner than ordinary outdoor tiles. If i used mosaic tiles (more choices of colour and texture) to make my insert, how can I place it down so that it's levelled with the rest of the tiles? Can I apply a thicker thin set where the mosaic insert will be placed? Awaiting your advice. 🌻

My mom in CO is regretting having to rip out the lawn near her pool (dogs and chlorine water killed the grass)... and she is putting in rocks. I hadn't thought of stepping stones... I think I'll attempt a couple to go in the new rock lawn. Do I remember correctly that you can't use the pre-mixed thinset for outdoor use? Can you use the type you mix from powder? I don't want to have to mix powder but I'd make an exception (especially since I can mix outside... if it stops raining, anyway).

Hi Erica! The stepping stones mixed in with a rock lawn would look 🔥. Personally, I would use the powder version of thinset when working on an outdoor project. You’re such a good daughter.🤗

@@JulieWeilbacher Aw, thanks! Since she's sad about losing the grass, I was thinking a grass motif might be cute. I'll see about buying a small quantity of thinset in powder form... I have no need for 5 gallons. Or I'll list the extras on my neighborhood's "Buy Nothing" group. I just looked up what pavers weigh 😳so maybe I'll do the piece here and wait until my next trip to CO to buy and finish the paver.
