Dear Yogi Aaron, Thank you for these poses for seniors. I taught a lot of online chair yoga during covid but requests dwindled after 2021. Then today the senior center offered me a twice-weekly F2F chair yoga class that starts tomorrow! I'm reworking my chair yoga sequences to reflect my AYAMA training. For example, in seated Pigeon, I used to use the hand to press the knee away and now I press the knee into the hand.

Hi. First off, your hip pain videos have helped me so much, thank you, so I decided to subscribe to the Yogi Club. But after 4 months, I realized that I wasn't using my access, so I sent 3 emails asking for termination of my subscription. No one has responded. Hence this post. Please terminate my subscription per your policy that members can terminate at any time. Thank you!

Thanks for saying hello. We are thrilled these practices are supporting you, but the pain will probably come back or form new ones if you don't keep up with them. You can't just watch the change; you have to practice the change. 😁 We did, as we always do, respond to emails. Please make sure you check your spam folder if you felt like you didn't hear back from us.

Wow... I loved this. My Doctor is referring me to a hand surgeon because I have two fingers on my right hand that are trigger fingers kind of like my father had. The surgery involves cutting the tendons that are binding my fingers. I wonder if these exercises could help that? It is my index in my ring finger.And when they get stuck in that claw like physician , I have to physically straighten them out.
@YogiAaronАй бұрын
Give these a try and see how it goes. SO many issues with the fingers stem from the muscles in the hand not working properly. 👍🏻

Such simple and very subtle moves! I very much felt all these exercises in my buttocks! And here I am doing so many of these and yet, I felt these strongly! My hamstrings did cramp up a bit though so I dropped my calf down a bit! Thank you so very much for these!
@YogiAaron3 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for commenting and sharing your lived experience. If the hamstrings are cramping, that is because they are taking over the role of the glutes. Back off, until you feel them not cramping anymore. Sometimes they will also cramp because when the nervous system gets a lot of new information, it doesn’t know what to do so it goes into a protective state aka muscles tightening/ cramping 😉

Every yoga class I've been to looks like a catastrophe waiting to happen. It's like competitive stretching. Along with competitive costuming. That's how I got to Yogi Aaron's No Stretching book: I have never been a yoga practitioner, precisely because of the dangerous stretching that I've seen in the few classes I've attended. Yogi Aaron's concepts really resonate with me.
