Yes the first part was filmed walking away from the wall. Many people visit Lucca and never venture outside the wall so this showed a little of what exists. This was also our first video so we're happy to hear your enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.

What time of the year did you go as weather looks nice. I’m coming in June. Been there before years ago but will be first time for my wife and 2 daughters.
@AntonandBella4 ай бұрын
Our visit for this video was done in mid-October. When we were living on the island we were still swimming up to the start of December and then would start up swimming again in April, so if you're planning a visit in June the weather should be very comfortable. We did find that August and September were the two hottest months for us, and also the busiest due to school holidays. Feel free to post any another questions might have and thanks for watching! 😊
@leeburrage40234 ай бұрын
@@AntonandBella thank you. It will be our first family holiday/honeymoon. First time in Malta for them think it’s 5th for me. So June would not be too warm. We are staying at San Antonio in Buggiba/qawra. You can get like the weekly bus cards from the airport can’t you and I can easily pay for them with my bank card? You still live in Malta?
@AntonandBella4 ай бұрын
Wonderful to hear that it will be your first family holiday/honeymoon! DB San Antonio is a lovely resort. We've eaten a few times at the Indian/Moroccan restaurant at the resort called Tajine. We think you'll really enjoy yourselves at the resort. The area heading towards Qawra has also changed a lot in recent years so lots to explore when you're not all relaxing! As for the public transport, the main Buġibba Bus Terminal is very close to the resort so we suggest you always leave from this terminal as the buses fill very fast and you may not get a seat if you catch it at a stop further along the route. There is also the ticket booth at the bus terminal where you can ask to purchase the Explorer Cards. You can also visit: www.publictransport.com.mt/en/bus-card-and-ticketing for more info on ticketing. Hope that info is useful! And to answer your last question, we no longer live on island as we're still very much exploring the world at a nice slow pace, and currently we're in Australia visiting family. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday!

Firstly thanks for watching and for the kind compliment. To answer your question as to when the best time to visit the Cinque Terre, from our experience there are far less crowds before July and from October. As you saw, the crowds over summer are pretty crazy.

Anton and Bella, thank you very much for your video about Lucca! It has been the most informative video I have seen :) Since you are open to questions, I would like to ask one: My husband and I will be doing a daytrip from Florence to Lucca and Pisa. I understand that Lucca needs a day on its own, but we don't have the time to split the two cities into 2 days. So what would you recommend - going first to Lucca and then taking the train to Pisa or the reverse? It would be our first time in both locations. The trip is in the beginning of May, so the day is long (I know it's far in the future, but I'm very excited and planning the itenarary from now 😂). Thank you very much! ❤
@AntonandBella6 ай бұрын
Hi Inna, Thank you for watching and we're happy to hear you found this video so informative. 🙂 To provide you with some considerations for your day trip from Florence to Pisa & Lucca here is what we think is best way to maximise your time exploring both cities in one day: Yes Lucca really deserves a day, and if you have seen our Pisa video kzbin.info/www/bejne/paTWnJJrgcypqNk you will see that there is so much more to Pisa than just the monument area too, and it also deserves a full day visit. (We definitely consider you also watch this video if you haven't already.) However, given you only have one day, we would suggest going to Pisa first and catch the earliest train from Florence to Pisa San Rossore Station (closest stop to the monuments area). This will ensure you beat all the crowds that start arriving from 10am onwards. It is much more relaxing to explore Pisa when there aren't thousands of other visitors doing the same at the same time. You can then make your way on foot to Pisa Centrale (very pretty relaxing walk) on the other side of town and catch a train to Lucca and enjoy the afternoon and evening there before getting the train back to Florence. The last train from Lucca to Firenze SMN, depending on the day leaves around 2230 so you will have had a chance to enjoy several hours in both Lucca and Pisa by the time you return to Florence. Hope this helps a little with your future plans. Let us know if we can help you with anything else. Thanks again. ❤

When was this video shot? It seems a bit crowded. Do you have to buy bus tickets in advance or just pay hen you hop on? Cost?
@AntonandBella7 ай бұрын
We filmed this video in mid-October. For us it was very comfortable walking around all parts of the city as we were already pretty familiar with the area. Valletta can get very busy when a cruise is docked in as was the case when we were there on this particular visit. As for the bus tickets, you can buy them in advance online or pay on the bus using euros directly with the driver. You can find all about bus ticket prices by doing a search for "Tallinja Bus Ticket". Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for such a quick response. 😊 Can you recommend places to eat or sights in St Julian?😊
@AntonandBella7 ай бұрын
One thing we liked to do on a Sunday when we were staying in Malta was to walk from St George's Bay to Sliema along the coastline streets passing by Spinola Bay and St Julian's Bay along the way. It's a really nice relaxing walk and you'll discover little restaurants, bars ad cafes along the way too, especially once you get to Balluta Bay. As for specific places to eat, we can't recall any specific places but can say we did make pit stops for drinks and snacks at different places each time to mix things up.
