The Bible passage you are referring to is found in the book of Ephesians. Specifically, it is Ephesians 5:22-25: **Ephesians 5:22-25 (NIV)**: 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

Listen up… These women ALL WENT TO THE SAME SCHOOL…! Some got good grades for not listening to men or anybody, even if its is for their own good. They always think they know better or smarter than the average bear… we’re not talking about male dominance or misogamy… just not listening in a marriage and having NO confidence in your husband , then its time for someone to go…

This works (if you want to give a woman constructive criticism). Tell them "here's a hypothetical example of a man that has this issue of..." and then add "wouldn't it seem like he would consider..." Making it about a man needing to fix his shit they can focus on the issue and means to finding a solution without going bat shit crazy.

What I don’t like about Byron Katie’s work in that area is this underlying assumption that it’s actually not true and thus, the questioning person would suddenly experience this dramatic aha-moment because they never thought about the validity of what they beliefe until just now. I mean, why couldn’t it be true? To take your example - maybe I actually AM lazy, alas, someone has to be the laziest person in the world and it just is so that this is me. Then what?
@CraigDesorcy
@CraigDesorcy 6 ай бұрын
I hear you! Another way to look at the model is, it can be another way to loosen the grip a limited belief has over oneself. thoughts on being lazy. We are energy conserving creatures. This may explain why we love anything that has three steps, invented the iphone, etc. I'd explore "lazy". If you were not lazy, what would you love to do? What wold make your soul sing? Etc., etc., etc.

As a woman this might help but it's not a solution all fix. If I say the house is a mess & you know she's working & you had a 1/2 break from coming home before her instead of doing his speech of "Oh hun I'm sure you'll figure it out let me know if I can help." it would actually be the help for you to come home break for 10 min when you know she'll be walking in the door 15 min so you have 5 min to get started picking up the house, and when she walks in the door she'll see you're cleaning now she may go, "what's this? You never clean, what's wrong?" you can tell her, "you noticed her dismay last time and did some thinking on how you can help in the whole mess situation since you got home first you decided what she needed was you to pick up and clean the house and ask her does she feel able after a 10 - 15 min break would she come and aid you so you can tackle this together?" If she says no not today ok ask her next time otherwise just keep cleaning this may prompt her to pick tasks on her off days she wouldn't normally do as a social give back on her own accord (aka she decides what she's doing to give back in some other area of your lives as she knows her energy levels) you've then aided her, created some peace by just picking up the house & when don consistently she'll feel this strain of her home was once a mess removed so now her energy is freed up to do xyz. His advice may work for when she says, "I hate my job so much but all I can find is more shitty work for another company should I leave it or not as they're both bad but I get a bit more from the other group but that doesn't seem good enough." Then you can try his line see how it works. You need decrement on when to use his words or not.

I have a question, I'll give u an example of how I do not feel heard in the relationship and this has been going on for years, I am feeling the need to move on, anyway umm my girlfriend goes in the room starts to get all the dirty laundry clothes and I am still in bed at that time so I say to her half asleep myself leave it there I'll put it in the washer don't worry I keep repeating that many times and she insists on putting it in herself. Once I was up I told her I repeated to u many times not to put the washer her answer was I had already put the clothes in and I said u could have turn it off now I have my pajamas dirty and why would I want to put an entire washer for just one pair of pajamas? She was like ooooh okay no problem. Give me some advice please

Whenever i try to make my girlfriend understand about what i like and dislike, she never listens to me, she starts yelling at me, she starts abusing my parents, she starts cursing me, she starts beating me, she gets totally mad at me, then in the end she says i am who i am, i will never change, i will never care about what you like and dislike, you can end the relationship with me, and go your separate way. This is what she says and do with me all the time, one night her cousin and she slept in the same room, i told her that's not good, her mother and she both started saying it's just a cousin, they are like siblings to each other what's wrong if they slept in the same room, even her mother doesn't think it's wrong for her daughter to sleep with her male cousin in a same room.... Now what should i do?
@CraigDesorcy

"Whenever i try to make my girlfriend understand about what i like and dislike, she never listens to me" If this is not addressed, things tend to stay stuck. Good on you for stating your boundary. It's very clear. Saying what you like and dislike is stating boundary. So my question is, what are the consequences for crossing one of your boundaries? The consequences need to be just as strong as the boundary. We can't get anyone to understand anything. We can set the boundary and make clear what the consequence is for crossing it. " i am who i am, i will never change, i will never care about what you like and dislike, you can end the relationship with me, and go your separate way." As I pack my stuff: Ok, well it's been a learning experience. May you be happy.

 May you be free.

 May you be at peace.

Covert narcs catch you off guard when least expected. You are emotionally and psychologically attacked out of the blue with no warning. Narcs change at the drop of a hat.

Agree, narcs can never, ever get enough attention, so it's best to gray rock or completely cut off contact. The latter is better, but we all know that this is unrealistic in certain situations. Gray rock can work if you can't go complete no contact.
