What Craig says here is right on. Turn in the victim card, even it is doesn't feel like you need to. Taking responsibility for our steps in life is empowering. We may not have created the situation, but we can take the initiative to get ourselves out of it. In doing that, we free ourselves back into our own personal power.

Thank you so much for this, I was literally shaking my head the whole time because you really hit the nail on the head. I've seen myself as the victim for so long and didn't even realize it. Ugh, so hard to admit that, but I'm going to give up my victim card because this isn't how I want to live my life.
