nice explosion, thanks for the interesting review. I gotta get one for a few weeks for my van, so I'll make sure it gets some air and vented. Very cold right now 7f degrees out.

Brother, If you're still out here I wonder how much time and thought went to security. I'm an artist and felt like this was my canvas...the cool things you can do with obsessed thought for months lol. I designed for half of 2020 then built the simplest comfortable build out I could. I'm not a traveler, I'm a back packer so my truck sits were anyone there will know I'm a good ways away. I thought about thieves (very rare in the eastern Sierra) bears, and marmots. The bears now know to break in even if the cooler inside is empty and clean. I want a person to look in the front (no electric anything, roll up windows) and see nothing of any interest. Same in the back. When I applied for my permit (so funny) the clerk reminded me that I was just out in the wild taking care of all needs out of a backpack....why do you suddenly need a stove and sink and lots of storage - Thats all I needed to here. I'm an ultralight backpacker where simplicity rules. I applied the same to the truck. I insulated the beans out of it, carpeted it, and built bead chairs (2). Covered in fur, they fold long ways into reclining looking out the back. Usually only take one. If I need all the stuff...do it modularly. Other than a chair covered in a dirty "pee stained" sheet and a spare tire is all they'll see. security at its finest. For the record with zero experience in less than 2 minutes total I picked the 6 locks to the cab. time to upgrade. Awesome design on your truck. Best of luck with it.

I am just checking in for new content. Now, I want to experiment with an electric blanket and a heating pad, maybe you could try that too. The twin blanket (for the test) I have uses 70w on high, but with a sleeping bag, I expect that to be too much in an hour or so. Warm it up then turn it off, exactly what that "looks" like depends on several factors. Another thought is a heating pad for when you are up working / computing and stuck inside. Like I pointed out, I do have a diesel heater which works well, but at times, too well. Kind of like a little wood stove... it is easy to build more heat than you really want. Since my last comment, I doubled battery power to 5300Wh and increased solar to 660w. This is especially nice for the personal air conditioner... a Bouge unit that I would have given 1 star, but if you have the power and direct airflow directly at you, it helps. I found a YT channel of a gentleman who does a great job at evaluating the Bouge unit.

I’ve taken some time off building a house. We got moved in, finally have some nice garage space again. Still need to fix up our last place to get it on the market, but definitely going to make some more content. Been itching to get back to it. I did look at an electric blanket, but it had a warning about not kinking it and I thought that would be impossible not to do. Thanks for checking in!

I’m nearing the plumbing job on my build and like your setup. Would you happen to have a layout of how yours is laid out? I’ve tried just following the video but still have questions. Can you also explain what the large tubes are for. Appreciate any input you may be able to provide.

750w power setting will use 750Wh in an hour. That's without efficiency losses. From 95% to 41% is 54% of the 2000wh capacity of the AC200 assuming it is accurate. That means it used 1080Wh. That's an efficiency loss of 330Wh or roughly 30% which is pretty bad. Or the heater consumed more than it is calibrated for.

You could now buy the Bluetti Charger 1 system and charge you AC200 with your truck running. While letting you truck heater run. If you have a cab to bed window connection, you can bring the cab heat with a small fan. Then the AC200 will have a high temp to start with.

No, no Cascina, we don't joke about pewing pewing the braincells. You are my quicksand. Let your passion blossom into work & let it kill you because it's the few things worth living for & worth dying for. You have so much potential! Its a good thing that you good laid off because you yourself weren't happy with the work ( which you have your reasons as to why). That stress would have definitely messed your Christmas but now you free to pour yourself into your passion (which already do), your fanbase will grow so will your financial freedom. I wish I could lay down, hug you & kiss your Orion's Belt... Cheers for now my celebrity crush! 😊🐻‍❄👋🏾

Venting with that heater is key. Having the insurance of the Kidde is absolutely necessary. I use two buddies in my ice fishing fabric tent when I go winter camping in -30c. They shut off if I don’t have two windows open for proper venting. My only complaint with the heater is they are super hard to ignite in the extreme cold. Great video as per! 👊🤙

Man oh man oh man this is hands down the most insane truck bed camper set up I have ever seen…I love it!! You absolutely crushed this build and your creativity skills are incredible. You mentioned that you are $5000 into this build. Does that include everything including the Thule rack, solar, power station, wiring, etc?

I dont have a roof vent just side windows. You leave it on all night? Does one bottle last all night or more than one night. I used to just light my propane lantern to break the chill at bed time and shut off once in bed. Light again in the morning to get up. I dont think I need one this big. I am seldom in very cold areas here like that. Thx

You need a mini oil radiator heater 800W, set to low setting 400W. You then need timers, set timing to 30 min on and 15 min off. in a hour the heater only ran 45 min, you would consume 300W in a hour.. Oil radiator heater is a much powerful long lasting heat that is similar to fire heat caused from the burning of oil inside the casing, the heater is hot till you cannot touch and the heat is coming from all over front, top, sides back.
