nice explosion, thanks for the interesting review. I gotta get one for a few weeks for my van, so I'll make sure it gets some air and vented. Very cold right now 7f degrees out.

Thanks for the video! You can buy a hose adapter for around $15 that hooks the buddy to the 20LB tank, so no 1LB refills.

Venting with that heater is key. Having the insurance of the Kidde is absolutely necessary. I use two buddies in my ice fishing fabric tent when I go winter camping in -30c. They shut off if I don’t have two windows open for proper venting. My only complaint with the heater is they are super hard to ignite in the extreme cold. Great video as per! 👊🤙

Aww…why thank you very much! I appreciate the kind words and I’m glad you have found the videos helpful. In and out is a challenge. I have some arthritis in the knees and a bad back and I do start to feel it after a bit. Sometimes I think a van would be more ideal.

@@WhentheDustSettles Sorry, also meant to mention...have you thought about a little flip out/slide down ladder afixed to the inside of the tailgate maybe I've hurt my back bad one time doing that (one leg hip twister hop up)...LOL And I have the same truck....Just an idea I know how absolutely innovative you are GOD through you... And could come up with a genius hack for that....if so, Thanks again! May God Bless!

@@jasonherman4833 Hi Jason! Sorry, I’m not quite sure about the question…are you wondering about the propane level consumption? If so, there is a pretty clear delineation line of condensation on the tank as you use it that gives you a pretty good indication. Hope I answered that correctly. I have definitely considered a fold down ladder. I eventually gave up on the idea because I didn’t want to interfere with the double bed area. I did consider a fold out step that fits in the hitch. Amazon has one. Be blessed!

All I’ve seen is the Mr Heater Portable Buddy. All beeeeeeeeee! I’m just messing with you. I found it funny that you said the name about 3 different ways and none of them were correct. I like to use the hose and power mine off the 20lb tank do you don’t run out and have to change it in the middle of the night. I run mine all through the night on low. Keeps it decent in my tent.

worth noting: I live in Colorado and these are hard to light and often do not stay lit over about 10,000'. So, if you're camping at high altitude, plan on having an alternate source of heat.

If you are alone there is room for this heater, with my son I need a wider bed and the space is very tight, especially since I am afraid that a sleeping bag or blanket will get dirty when I sleep. Have watched and enjoyed many of your videos. As an Engineer with experience with propane and natural gas codes in Canada I would recommend a CO sensor and alarm. Buddy heaters are well made, but it is a direct fired device that in Buildings require CO sensors. Many people perish from propane heaters not working in rvs.
