Registered PE structural engineer here (licensed in 2014). This is a very good explanation of the process. I searched this topic because I am finding that many designers today are losing the skillset to provide conceptual sketches or preliminary drawings ahead of the 3d modeling phases. This would of been the Architectural Drawings step in the explanation you provided. More and more, I am finding myself being engaged on the tail end of a project instead of early on and the reason is that preliminary drawings are being bypassed by the designers.. Are you seeing this?

I'm a student who is going to Pursue Mechanical Engineering. My methodology of notes taking is different as I dont have a iPad. I use OneNote but I'm typing the notes onto it, insert photos wherever its necessary. But is it worth doing it this way? Because I find it very difficult to organize when it comes to handwritten notes. Hope you could give your insights on that. Cheers!

I have one big question. When do you do those 4 steps? Like do you do it while taking notes or you go back to your notes at home right after the lessons? Also I have always been a paper lover, but i hate the way you cant make new space on your paper. You dont have infinite space and I do not find a way to print the slides in a way i can just write things down on the sides... You know how to?
