Is it ok to send in a somewhat used crank for a factory install, or does it have to be brand new?

Cause the so called real one's are the same as the black one's! There should be a triangle 🔺️ rubber instamped Assembled in USA on the right hand leg which these white abd bkack do not have either so could be why they feel cheaper like the knockoffs I can show you my genuine ones with this then frame is stamped there's just nothing on them white ones in the inside at the right lens in-between whare the lens and the leg is the stamps missing so personally think the whites are koffs aswell!

The “little plastic cap” is a critical component. It applies pre-load to the crank arm. It is important to make sure it is installed and not over tightened.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY A 4iii. I just installed my 4iiii power meter, and the protuberance where the battery goes has so much offset that it rubs against my frame (canyon endurace). I had to tighten the the crank arm with an outwards offset of 3mm. I think this is a terrible mistake from the guys at 4iiii. I replaced my Stages power meter which is considerably thinner. I just hope the 4iiii performs well.

Well, it's not like they didn't warn you beforehand on their website and ask to make sure you have enough clearance for their unit, is it ?

It's the same as my 235 - the only difference is the swim mode. Battery life sounds better though. no way could my 235 get through using the GPS without battery drain - syncing to strava can take 1 minute or 20 minutes.

I’m looking at buying one of these on EBay. Do I need to buy the rear wheel quick release skewer, or can you just connect the Flow to the bike using it’s existing nuts? You seemed to just put your bike straight onto the trainer, but could’ve put the spindle thing on your bike previously.

@TheAverageCyclist2 жыл бұрын
173cm. Could’ve gone S or M. Whilst I would typically say go a size down if you’re on the boundary of a frame size in this case I went for the medium as I didn’t want it to be quite so aggressive. I’m not going to be riding this like I did my old TCR.
@runnerbean18352 жыл бұрын
@@TheAverageCyclist many thanks for the reply, I'm also 173cm! Unfortunately the only one in stock is in a size small so will have to have look into it a bit more I guess, I was thinking medium would be a little big.
@TheAverageCyclist2 жыл бұрын
I think the small will be fine. My last TCR was a small, and I had a really aggressive set up that I loved (120mm stem, almost slammed.) I nearly went for small again, but I’m fatter, older, less flexible and ride a hell of a lot less than I used to.

Would not buy another one ...the plastic cover on the right hand crank is crumbling and battles to hold the crews that secure the battery and the right hand ones battery sensors have broken off so it gets not power ...shocking for an @sworks @specialized Tarmac ....waiting to see what Specialized do to sort this out but I am not holding my breath that it is going to be a positive outcome for me ...this power meter is about 12 months old ,which to be honest just shows a substandard product aggravated by the reluctance to sort it out like most premium brands would do ....dont buy !!

@allantimm20032 жыл бұрын
@@TheAverageCyclist Yeah ...I am not happy having spent $12 k on the top end bike that came with the power meter you would think I get this resolved. I mean the basics like the screws that hold the battery in place are coming out due to fatigue in the plastic housing ...so unacceptable !!

It's a metal bar that spins with cogs to turn the wheel, and a dynamo in the back wheel that charges a battery that powers the GPS and lights. I think people were going to Gregg's and buying a pie and putting the metal tray over the GPS to ride around all day.
