Emblem Ike has been my favorite addition to the game because I am a casual player who doesn't really care too much about the meta, and Ike is finally really good in a game that he's in. I also find it funny that Ike's strongest alts are his more defensive ones because that feels like a recent trend in how Ike is presented in general. Cause even though FEH has called him one of the strongest Heroes ever, in Engage Emblem Ike is one of the more defensive Emblems and he doesn't give the highest Str growth. Even in Smash he's been the slower, tankier swordfighter. Makes it feel like he has an identity crisis lol.

There's something I'm now curious about. Does Gatrie's refine's defensive special jumping effect also applies to any possible consecutive attacks (brave hits, desperation like attacks, etc.)? Or it only applies before foe's round of attack?

Chrom would need quad support if wants to kill him since shield fighter only works on the first 3 hits but not the 4th.

I think youre underestimating Sigurd as an emblem. Hes gonna be nuts on dancers, extra movement plus Canto 3 is wild on a dancer.

Its true that AoE is generally on the decline. However, the main counter is BoL4 - which scales strongly off of your defence. Sigurd has a huge amount of def though, so a lot of the time, you'll just get the base 20% hp as healing. But, Sigurd also has fatal smoke, so you'll only get 10% - which in most cases will be pretty small. The question is whether he can deal e.g. 10 damage through shield fighter near saves. (And Marni, being green and f2p, will probably survive)

I don't know if this is just me, but I feel like as time passes more, the powercreep might increase significantly, especially from every new banners, I am wondering will PVP matches will be much harder? I'm really worried about powercreep for the future time if Emblem Sigurd is this good.

Someone at IS must have a bias towards Sigurd: him and his alts have consistency of moderately to majorly impacting the meta

Felix- i will be praying for a canto control 4 unit. however, emblem sigurd is definitely good and will be spending my last 7 orbs on it

Am I crazy? I see people downplaying Sigurd’s ring but is it not crazy good for basically everyone. It’s arguably more flexible than marth’s because everyone likes movement.

Brave Chrom can copy gallop and make insane use out of that b slot for an option. With sigurd ring and gallop copy i wonder if he caps at 5 or 6 movement

I just had a terrifying thought... Doesn't stall specifically say that it only effects units with the "+1 movement" status? Sigurd and his gallop might be immune to stall...

I never cared about competitive, so outside of those modes, he looks just okay Much like Marth, his ring is the best thing about him.

I actually sort of hate this. Not the effect itself, that's... Whatever. I just don't like all these warping and movement buffs being handed out when the map sizes remain the same. Between Felix, the Celica ring and now the Sigurd ring, the game is boiling down to "Kill enemy team on the first turn, or die in the next" and I'm not sure how fun that is.
