Thanks to share this set up. Have you ever thought the increased weight become too heavy? Or is this perfect for your shoulder and elbow muscles? I'm using 7.7oz Bantam ESQ-C 14.3. I'm kinda feel 7.7oz is a bit too light for me, but having difficulty to find out the perfect weight and balance point for me. I tried 1g-per-1inch tape to increase it to 8.0 oz, but it felt too heavy for me, my kitchen line reaction speed declined. So I returned, still looking for perfect setting for me. Maybe I need to try something like yours. Weight on the handle would not increase the swing weight I guess.

So your hand would start near your body, and then you're lightly extending it out, without a lot of pace? My question might seem super obvious, but that looks so simple it blows my mind!

Do you momentarily look at your opponents paddle before they hit and then go back to tracking the ball or do you always look at the ball even at the point of contact?

I was practicing from the baseline as part of a return. Primarily because I had no clue on the progression to train it at the kitchen. It didn’t work at first for me as I was trying to go for to much power. I had to start taking more pace off and focus more on placement, trying to hit the chicken wing. Once I started hitting that spot consistently, it worked a lot better.

Funny, in the ben johns backhand roll and flick video, he does not like this form. He reccomends using more of a sidespin flick motion instead. Why do you think so?

@gg801082 ай бұрын
Your roll demo is not what you actually do. No diff between roll and flick. You must have gumby flexibility, nobody's wrist turns bwds like that. You need lots of practice.
@NicholasWade_PB2 ай бұрын
@@gg80108 Big differences between roll and flick if you look at the small details. Wrist moved more inwards on the roll as needed to come from more inside and attack down the line due to ball being closer to right side of the body. If the ball was further out in front and to the left there would be no need to manipulate the wrist slightly like this before swing is initiated. I wish I had Gumby flexibility 😂
