Epic game! You wearing that protective eyewear now huh?

Been wearing my sunglasses more recently, feels a little harder to see, so going to try out the clear protective ones. The paddle technology is so fast these days, I got hit pretty hard in the mouth the other day. Better to be safe!

@@NicholasWade_PB Yea I feel that.

is that a concern for any level? for example I played with someone who hits hard, but it looks alot less hard than when I see pros?
@NicholasWade_PB5 ай бұрын
@@A-bl1dy definitely a concern at any level, especially at the lower levels as there is less control on rogue shots with new paddle technology

@NicholasWade_PB ah, are there selections of Eyewear and mouthwear you recommend? I only have sunglasses and they felt obstructive somehow?

I think you were both being a bit too tight on line calls. The inside line. In my mind, I never call a ball out in skinny singles if I can easily play the ball and it’s a ball I would have played from that position anyway in a real game.

Thanks for the feedback. We're both very competitive, but definitely trust each others line calls.

@@NicholasWade_PB yes I didn’t mean to imply that any calls got hooked! I meant that I like a style of skinny singles where more of the court gets played. Even if the ball is a bit “out” from the center line (not the sidelines or baseline), we still play it. Especially from the left side of the court, as that’s a part of the court you’d be covering with your forehand in a real game anyway.

@@douglasmurdoch7247 Gotcha, I see what you mean, that definitely makes it more realistic for a doubles situation. For us, anything close to the line at the pro competition level will usually get called out by opponents, so we like to keep our margins nice and tight to try to bring our consistency level up.
