Great video explanation. New subscriber from your vids on Ed's channel which are also so helpful. I've done a couple of half Ernes but with your explanation of footwork and timing from ball placement the odds for full Ernes has increased substantially

Great video, right on point. Dry well explained. Can you also please explain the footwork and scenarios for the other side of the court with a backhand ?

I practiced today using your method, and it is very effective. Thank you for sharing this skill. Could you also do a lesson on the left side Erne?

Thanks, and yes I'll get a video done soon on the left side Erne!

Amazing video thanks for the lightbulb moment with the footwork. One thing I would have loved is an explanation on what to do with the paddle. Do you normally try to get top spin on these shots or mostly punching it?
@NicholasWade_PB5 ай бұрын
On the lower balls definitely need to utilize topspin to help it get over, but on the higher ones more power and more of a punch.

No wonder why I've never been able to erne... I've been pushing off the wrong foot 🤣

I Ernie a lot in that left hand corner but almost always with my backhand. I think I’m pushing off with my right foot and that is closing me off to the net

If you're hitting the Erne on the left side most of the time with the backhand, you could be jumping a little late and meeting the ball closer to your body. If you jump a bit earlier you'll be able to get out in front of the ball more and take it on the forehand side. And yes make sure you're pushing off with the right footwork.
