I just started with recording/podcasting and my biggest issue is speaking while smiling. Smiling during speaking comes very natural to me and it effects the way I talk positively, everything becomes more lifely. But my cheeks make this weird smacking noise and since I got a good mic I'm suuuper selfaware of this. I'll try your tipps, esp. the drinking tipp since trinking more water would be good for me in general! :)

But today evern thought no one has checked my gig , a person has sent me a message in fiverr proposing a job. he is is saying to go to a specified telegram account and talk to him about the budget and payment. the person who has sent me the message has joined fiverr just this month August. the job is for 2 days image to text conversion. is this a scammer?

I'm currently dealing with a client for an audiobook who is nitpicking EVERYTHING. As much as I want to tell them to take a flying leap - they keep talking about "weird pauses" in places where I'm dictating a clean break between words that would otherwise mush together, or where there are quotes or parenthesis, or questions about inflecting up or down - I'm simply going to work through the project until they are happy, get paid, and then choose to not work with this client again. At this point it's getting to be beyond what I believe is a reasonable expectation.

My clients has been repeating the entire year once and once again every month - even so I never receive that bloody badge.

The only issue I have with this is how am I to get a deep breath in, while reading script, without it being heard? A deep breath is audible. That's why I usually end up grabbing short breaths where I can, which I know is not ideal.

Just another quick question as i heard of this technique nowadays, is that i can practice it well intentionally but when i start to read it's almost like I don't feel my belly rising in between my breaths, they feel shorter, is it somewhat pressure related, maybe like trying to read it fast and then we accidentally take in a short breath through chest? Hope you understood what i mean.. but as you said, i think i might have to practice it more and more and replace the chest breathing habit we have build up since childhood
