8:58 magic to see the smile that hit you after that dip……….bit of friendly advice……try and control your breathing with the the in breath through the nose and as calm as possible on the exhale from your mouth. A great read is a book called the Oxygen Advantage by Patrick Mckeown. Keep doing what you do, lovely work

Living in a climate myself where the water temperature varies between 3°C and 20°C, having 5 wetsuits doesn't seem like too many to me.

Do you live in South Africa because I recognise that cooking oil is from spar and there are spar’s in South Africa as well and plus I don’t think you’d surf in the UK since there is not good surf, so that’s why I was just wondering

I had a similar experience actually! The Take off next to the wall threw me off a bit 😅 I think if it was a bit cheaper for a session then there wouldn't be so much pressure on each wave maybe...

I go watch watch the surfers here in Tynemouth near Newcastle every day and there's hundreds of surfers any given day, the waves are pretty big so they have to brave them, but it's a huge surfing community here, I love watching them from the pier and cliffs, sometimes there's up to ten waves coming in at once, the beaches are white sand blue flag and it's so beautiful...🌻😎

Your videos are lovely and your appreciation for Devon is infectious. By the way its pronounced 'solcombe' not Salcombe. I really wish people would keep quiet about thease places, for those of us who live here , our beautiful county is becoming a destination for far too many people, they buy up houses, more and more are built destroying the very countryside people come to enjoy, the southwest is quickly changing into a disgusting cosmopolitan theme park at the expense of the locals and culture, for those who live and work here and who can just about hold on and afford to stay here, its becoming too populated , too busy too commercial and just too much. Please leave us alone or come and keep quiet.

I agree! I lived there through the war years and even when I revisited in 1984 it had really changed. I visited again with my children and grandchildren in 2008, 2011 and 2012 and noticed how much the town had grown. It is sad that everywhere is growing so much even here on Vancouver Island. Guess that’s what they call progress!

A better beach for surfing is Brighstone Bay on the IOW. The aircraft museum at Hurn is damn good because you can sit in the cockpits of several famous planes and helicopters. St Catherines Hill is a great place for a ramble particularly late Autumn when the ground is covered in different coloured toadstools. It also provides the best views over Bournemouth and the river Avon. The Avon in flood is pretty impressive. Meyrick Park is also good for a ramble through the woodland.

My longboard is 10'3". I can barely catch waves with it since I'm 61, weigh 215 (yes, I need to lose 40 lbs) and completely out of paddling shape. It barely fits inside the Dodge Grand Cherokee I just bought. Buyers remorse, I should have bought a Ford Transit Connect instead, since SoCal stealth camping would be much easier in that and even my Mickey Munoz 12' glider would fit inside.
