When I saw the 'Heading to Stoke-on-Trent and Exploring The City' chapters, I got the fear for you guys. Despite a history as a working-class (blue collar) industrial hub, mainly famous for many (now closed) pottery/ceramic factories, it's become a very deprived and dilapidated city, with many social issues (street crime/addiction/homelessness is rife). It's not a place I'd go exploring, particularly after dark, and I say that as someone who is relatively local. It's pretty grim. Glad that you had a great first day at AT, which despite not having the tallest/fastest rides still packs a very decent line-up with a couple of world-class coasters and a lot of uniqueness. It's cool to see your reactions/footage after seeing Marc's vlogs, and to get to experience your trip again from another perspective. Looking forward to the rest of the trip/European vlogs!

That’s so interesting!! Yeah, it felt very dilapidated for sure - but not necessarily unsafe. Just bizarre… And I’m glad to hear that! Marc and I have very different opinions but I think that’s why people like to watch this stuff 😂

the smiler incident was human error. The ride is obviously safe.

The Smiler at Halloween is awesome, when the whole area is being illuminated by the shifting lights of the massive screen, the music is thumping and the ride is tearing past just above your head.

Stoke-on-trent in the middle of nowhere? That's only slightly true :). Seriously it's a rough old town. I got a soft spot for it but it can def. get feisty. Glad you guys are safe.

Thanks for a brilliant afternoon with you guys at Alton towers we had the best time ! Your top lads with big hearts and a amazing energy to be around , It was so awesome to get to take you round our favourite place Alton towers . I still can’t believe george managed to get you from the runaway mine train across to the opposite side of the park to smiler in 5 minutes with only 2 minutes before the line closed 😂 you do need to come back to do hex and wickerman so hopefully see you on your next visit .

Great video! The Smiler looked fun! I liked Vortex at Kings Island a lot with 6 inversions so i think i would like The Smiler too. I think the Tilt coaster in Taiwan is the scariest coaster in the world, not Smiler. Great to see you all had a good time! I really enjoyed watching this!

Judging by the waterpark you were in stoke on Trent, one of the biggest shitholes in the UK. Basically a scaled down Detroit. You were wise to go back to the hotel lol. (the indoor waterpark slaps tho).

But take your time if you have to. 😊 I want to mention if you guys ever want a theme park to go to that have crazy intense roller-coasters, please try the American dream mall in New Jersey. It has the nickelodeon universe in the mall. The rides will blow your mind. Also go to the formula rossa theme park in Abu Dhabi. By the way, I am going to buy yours and Marc merch when I get paid! I love watching Americans discover that the UK is not a gastronomic wasteland. But I must apologise for our lack of AC. In the entire history of the UK we never saw the sun. It appeared in 1976 but we thought it was some kind of apparition. Then it reappeared 40 years later and now keeps reappearing, at random intervals.
