Thank for the video. This was perfect, because I just ordered my XL hybrid and drive regularly from Chandler to Tucson. This confirms for me that the hybrid was the right power train option.

Of course it’s small vs your F150 😂. It’s not supposed to be anywhere near a full size truck in any way. Stop comparing it to something it’s not meant to be duh 🙄 Slow down on your delivery. You’re talking so fast I’m getting tired 😪 Otherwise good review.

it's been 4 months , How have they held up? NOT in terms of rips etc (I'm sure canvas is going to hold up in that capacity ) But HOW IS THE VERY FRONT OF THE SEAT COVER? THAT IS THE PART THAT ALWAYS LIFTS AND SLIDES AROUND. how is the fit staying fit to the seat? the sides of the seat always pull up from getting in and out of the truck. thanks

Still rock solid. Granted I’ve been driving less lately but they look the same as day 1 IMO

Why do most all get stuff done work vehicles have to have seating for 5 now? Small cab long bed "small" trucks were made for decades. FORD, where is the single cab 6' bed Maverick? It's long over due and needed.

A bunch of sheet goods will overload the rear axle, most of the weight being behind the rear axle. And if someone isn't paying attention to your extended load it will be a bad day. Those tailgate cables have broken in every truck I have had them on.

I’m 21 with a Toyota Tacoma. I’m 6’3 and I’m actually trading in my Tacoma for a maverick XLT tomorrow. The ride is so much better. I have way more head room. A lot more leg room and to be saving on gas is amazing. However I’m not getting the hybrid engine I’m still going to have amazing fuel economy. I can’t wait to get my maverick

Logical thinking is not allowed in the truck market, the market is built around ego and perceived manliness. Financially a full size truck is dumbest thing someone can do to themselves. Just look up the average saving of a 40 year old in the USA. Car poor. Get a maverick and make it work.

Thanks for the tip on floor mats. I went super-cheap on Amazon and wish I hadn't...they aren't a value when holes start appearing in 3-4 months of very ordinary use. Lesson learned.

Why do people refuse to use trailers?
@hibob84115 күн бұрын
Great stuff that helps in my decision-thanks! I am leaning toward an XLT, EcoBoost with AWD at this point. I mainly want a truck to get my dirtbike to the dirt and my kids from place to place, so I think this would fit the bill nicely. And yeah, carseats _suck_ in anything that isn't a large sedan, unless you're short yourself. My twins graduated to boosters last year and it was life-changing, LOL. It allows me to consider a vehicle that isn't particularly roomy in the back, which is nice.

You should not be "camping in the Left lane". The left lane is for passing and driving should be done in the right lane.

You could probably get better milage on the highway if you put a cover on the cargo bay at the back, so the folding trunk door doesn't cause wind resistance.

Ignore such a recall, because anything could happen during the upgrading. A guy on reddit posted a story: his Maverick could not start after the upgrading. Then he got a new job in another state and his Maverick was still dead. He could not sell the truck, obviously, and Ford won't replace his truck. Totally screwed up, only because of a very simple firmware flashing.

Ty for speaking on this. It’s the worst part about the car. The shifting w the paddles is ridiculous. Maybe cause I’m from from an Alfa Romeo which shares its transmission w the Urus, Hellcat, Supra, Rolls Royce, Etc. It’s slow asf. It’s like you’re giving it permission to shift when it’s ready. Shifting w the gear selector feels more responsive than the paddle shifters. Which is sad. Nobody got an AT w paddles so they can shift w the gear lever. Ps: got an AT for the ACC. ACC has gotten used less than the back seats. So don’t make my mistake. Get MT if you only getting AT for ACC (automatic cruise control)

I would say sport mode in the Hybrid Mav is just more responsive and peppy. Where as in normal mode you have to push the go pedal more to get the engine involved. Eco mode even more than normal when driving around in local traffic conditions. Flooring it from a stop I can see there being no difference between the modes.

The tailgate doesn't keep sheet goods from sliding out. The edge of the raised tailgate is level with the wheel wells. Sheets good now lay level in the bed. Sheet goods fit between the Maverick's bed rails, but not between the wheel wells as in full size trucks.

I carry 2000 lb of mulch in it and it drives fine on the highway going 55. I make sure not to follow close behind anybody though because I don't want to test the brakes at that speed with that amount of weight in it. Furthermore I wouldn't want to damage the transmission so I do not push the engine hard at all. The funny part about it is because it's a hybrid it gets better gas mileage on the highway like 40 mi per gallon because it just keeps coasting so far with all that weight. Also it helps that it's mostly downhill from The mulch place to the job sites I work on. I know that you're only supposed to load it up with 1500 lb but it goes great with a whole ton sitting in the bed.
