Trout fishing is really what I starting fishing with. Only got into bass fishing around 2018-2019, so I still love to get out and troll for trout, that's my favorite way to catch them.

Active Target 2 on the fishing specialties pole. Foot pedal controlled rudder. Two side flip out rod holders that store 6 rods horizontally on the sides and more. Garage kept for the 3 years I have had it. I live in Anderson SC in same area as you. If interested shoot me a message. I know in past video you mentioned something about getting more sponsor so maybe you already have something in the works for upgrade. Anyway love your channel keep up the awesome content!

Oh man what a sweet video this was man! I plan on going trout fishing in blue ridge Georgia in march. That’s some crazy deep fish right there though. There is a A-rig I’m wanting called mini flex from tactical warehouse. Smaller profile lures can go on it for winter fishing . 2 to 3 inch lures.
@TravisDoesKayakFishing2 күн бұрын
I have see the mini-flex. I think it would be fire. Dude the fall on these a-rigs were slow. I was using a 1oz a-rig and Bennett had hadlest 2oz on his. It was still taking his forever to sink down. Tons of fun and spot on with the 2.8 vs the normal size keitechs, or anything else.

Big question: Are the Boonedox wheels and Pro 128 tracks rated for possibly the most weight they have borne so far? I figure (pulling a loaded Pro 128 w/ NK300 onboard up a boat ramp) you might have half of 150lbs + 55 lbs (motor and battery) + incidentals towards the rear = maybe 200 to 250 lbs. Trying to avoid trailering but not sure it's an option!
@TravisDoesKayakFishing2 күн бұрын
I asked the guy that there, Wildneress Rep. He said zero issues with it as it and he has been fishing this kayak for about 6 months. I thought the same and felt that the plastic infront of the seat was lacking support, they are addig in foam blocks there as well. But short answer on what you asked, he has had no issues but I cannot validate as it's not my unit.

Does hartwell have a lot of boat docks? What A rig do you throw? Happy new years too Travis! I have a good feeling for you 2025
@TravisDoesKayakFishing8 күн бұрын
Oh yeah. Floating docks galore. Hartwell for me is best summed up by fishing points, rocks, laydowns and brush, and the floating docks. If it's a super clear day out I will spend a lot of time on the docks. Almost all use the black floating pontoons so the fish will hold under them. They act like rock in terms of holding heat and baitfish so if that sun is blaring out docks are hard to beat. LOTS of dock lights for night fishing too.
@TravisDoesKayakFishing8 күн бұрын
Oh and it's Shane's Baits for the a-rig. I am about to start experimenting with a few more though.
@rexgaming_501st39 күн бұрын
Nice trip man. And you are right, rock is absolutely killer through the winter. If you can find some on a drop off it can be a money spot. Bluff walls are great when you can find em too, just step your bait down the side and they’ll smash it.

Curious what are your water temps? Most of the lakes I fish are very clear and really deep (over 100 feet) those types of lakes have a very deep thermocline. So around July the fish start to move out to deeper water. (small mouth for sure) the largemouths less deep. As the season progresses towards winter they will move deeper. We'll see fish at 20 feet in July all the way out to 70 or 80 feet deep in December-February. Pulling fish out of water that deep is not at all good for them so I stop fishing for about three months. I have watched people catch fish using a drop shot that deep though so it can be done. Once the days start getting longer again and the water temps hit the mid 40's you'll start to see them in that 15 to 30 foot range again and for those fish I really love a ned rig. The fish are still cold and they want to eat easy things. Neds move slow and have no pinchers or stingers or appendages for locomotion so the bass will often eat those when they ignore everything else.
@TravisDoesKayakFishing9 күн бұрын

That's awesome to hear on the weight. I lost a lot just using this kayak. I liked the 110 a lot and have never been in an inflatable. If I were to be in this price range again, I would be looking at the 110 or the Magellan Outdoors Pro Pedal Drive Kayak. It's go wild features and is pretty fast and motor capable. You cannot go wrong with this one though. I put a lot of miles on it.

Does that A-rig work well for you? I've tried using it but it always gets caught up in my line on casts. Great video btw!
@TravisDoesKayakFishing10 күн бұрын
I love the design and way it fishes. About 1/4 of all cast seem to get tangled up and nasty and the rig does not hold up well after a couple of fish. It really starts getting mangled. I am thinking about going with some of the Geecrack models. I like the longer connecting shaft and how sturdy the frames seem to be.
@brycekendall869710 күн бұрын
@@TravisDoesKayakFishing Interesting! Yeah it seems like the design eliminates jig tangles but introduces line tangles lol. My favorite to use lately is just the simple flash mob jr. I use small crappie grubs on it. Absolutely slays schooling spots.
