In my fantasy universe Philosophers' Stone is a source of power for vampires, they're using that instead of hunting for humans... Main character shattered the Flamel's stone (after Flamel's death) into smaller pieces and gave them to all vampires' families... Main character is a magical-powerful human, but vampires are having a trust in him, 'cause he is also looking like a monster in humans' eyes and in eyes of other mages, wizards, druids, etc. ... Instead main character is helping magical entities, he helped werewolves to control their abillities, he helped dragons to hide from humans, and he helped trolls to build a kingdom in post-vulcanic caves...
