I know I'm late, but Eminem did have one club song, too bad it sucked big balls. Anyone remember a song called Shake That? Well, it was remixed a few years back and that somehow turned it into a semi ok song, and a legendary meme (You reposted in the wrong neighborhood)

"They're not pc enough - dumb lyrics - it's not officially rap music - one song comes on the album at the wrong place..." ??? I just lost a lot of respect for this podcast. I'll give ya License to Ill was "frat music" and overrated... but later albums were solid. "The follow up album was FUNK music instead of rock..." Yeah, so? It was good, along with Check Your Head and other later albums. This podcast is grasping at straws.

The only decent record they ever made was One Hot Minute. The only good record Frusciante made is that heroin interview.

Clint Eastwood had a catchy beat, but it didn't age well. And that happened quick. Their second run with Feel Good Inc wasn't much better. Their attempts at mashing rock and hip hop suck. It can be done well, but they obviously don't. I remember the rock fans complaining about the rap parts and I thought those were the only maybe redeemable parts. But it's funny a "conscious" group like De La Soul got on their song talkin' bout lining em up like asscracks. Like they knew it was crap and just spit a bunch of nonsense. Who actually knows what those verses say?

The entire boy bands thing was just white washing R&B groups of the 90's.

Chuck wrote "My War", they didn't progress? Every album is completely different, Henry wrote the lyrics to very few songs, you guys don't even know what you're talking about, you've obviously never listened to any of it. It's easy to take popular opinion that their later records suck, without listening to them.
@jeremyswanson23618 сағат бұрын
I'd say they progressed beyond punk pretty quick when they discovered Sabbath, "You're Not Evil" is really a great song Seems like most people never listen to any of their albums past Damaged, I'd say the last album In My Head is the best, have you guys actually listened to any of these album's? " I Can See You" , " Retired At 21", "It's All Up To You" , "Best One Yet" , "Sinking", "Black Coffee" , actually great music.

I don't think that Layne was a real user. It's as you guys are suggesting: They copied everything G.N.R.. It all makes sense now. Because it was revealed on Celeb Rehab that Mike got fired for experimenting with shooting up while they were doing a show in Brazil. You would see Layne around town looking super clean and it occurred to me that he was just that: Super clean; not at all a user!! Only for the sake of the media was he presented as such. And as far as Mark Lanegan? Simply damage control because of the Celeb Rehab episode. Everything that he recounts of him and Layne is just so far out there that there's no way he could be credible. And as far as Mike Starr being fired for scalping? More damage control!! If he was scalping tickets it's because he was told to. This practise goes back even further than the Beatles. It puts more $ in your pocket than the promoter's

Please do an episode of how Creed saved rock music in 1997 from ska. PJ was fighting Ticketmaster. Soundgarden, AIC, STP, Jane's Addiction were broken up. Weezer, NIN, and RHCP were on hiatus. Then after they release MOP and Human Clay, PJ goes back to selling out MSG. Audioslave forms. RHCP and Foo Fighters become more popular than ever. STP, Jane's Addiction, Weezer, and NIN resurface. It provided all the momentum to push The Strokes and White Stripes because no one would be listening to rock radio at that point.

🎉 EMINEM stinks coming from a day 1 middle school stan, who's seen him live 3 times. Shit was cool / fun back then but has zero reply value. Whereas on the right day I find myself revisiting Cage's movies for the blind. I still enjoy the horror edge to this day. But thermometers and gerbils up butts, funny accents, sex with dr. dre, pop crossovers with rhiana, beyonce and ed sheeran. To a lyrical lemonade music video in his 40's Im often so confused at what eminem represents other than a whiny bitch still so desperate for validation by "the masses" - At this point in his career the lack of attaining that height has truly shown why that prospect has escaped him infinitely... He sucks and is one of the biggest jokes in all of hip hop. Impressive fast rappipty rap technique- but who the tf cares HAHA😂HA THANKS FOR THIS GUYS 🙏🏽

Im 15, never saw the dead. last year I started going to coverbands, saw dead and co at the sphere, and DSO at the greek, been sober at every show. This music has completely changed my life, the dead community is a family to me, they welcome anyone with open arms, the amount of love these strangers have shown me is mind-blowing.

DT are a shadow of their former selves nowadays and now it’s more about speed and showing off than songwriting. The 1st 4 albums are masterpieces. This video however, just seems like a hate Fest for the sake of it. Kings X and DT are mates and collaborated on 1 song. I’m a huge fan of both bands.
