Completely anecdotal, paul simon came into my work circa 2003 when I was 21 and it was essentially just him and me, he went out of his way to engage me in a convo and reciprocated info as if he were an uncle or something, exceptionally kind man. I was blessed in that gig to meet a fair amount of famous folks and paul and tommy chong among the nicest most normal celebrity type folks you could imagine.

Good luck roasting Alice In Chains. Outside of drug problems, which makes you look like assholes if that’s what you’re focusing on, that band is arguably the most underrated band ever. Between the vocal harmonies, melodies, exceptional but understated guitar solos, the versatility, even surviving with a completely different sounding singer and still sounding distinctively like themselves, you guys have your work cut out for you.

@@JustinK6664 not at all, my favorite episodes are about bands I like, I just don’t think there’s anything negative to say, aside from the drug use. From a song writing and musicianship standpoint the band is as tight as they come. They have one of the top selling EPs of all time, are able to change up their style between albums and stay true to themselves while taking risks. Their new singer can’t even touch what Layne could do, but because of Jerry’s vocal harmonies, it still works, without a carbon copy singer trying to ape the sound. I say they’re Underrated because there were several Grammy awards they should have won given the competition and in retrospect, they were robbed. But, the lyrics probably made Mark feel his feelings or something, it’s ok guys, just go listen to “I did it all for the Nookie” again, and pretend that’s good writing, and not an anthem for incels. Your inconsistency cracks me up, and the random made up sounding bands you say to go listen to instead makes you sound like total snobs. I love it! Keep up the good work.
