This is perfectly said. I’ve seen so many truck drivers over the years inpatient and being downright rude on the interstate, And so many times I’ve turned on the news or a social media feed seeing jackknifed trailers. Even when not at fault, I think defensive driving plays an important role in accident prevention or minimizing the severity. Being a truck driver takes a lot of wisdom, skill, maturity, Ability to not take things personally or allow feelings to interfere with safe driving. You cannot control what others do only how you respond.

I have been going to school for a week to get my class A license. Yesterday, the owner of the school came out all angry because he saw a classmate doing a maneuver and the classmate couldn't, but actually, the only instructor we have is a classmate who got his license two weeks ago and he goes there to help the owner of the school. There are other experienced instructors, but they don't go every day and even so, the owner tells us that if we don't do the maneuver right, we'd better go home. I've been there for a week and they haven't taught me anything about the technique for doing maneuvers. The only thing I get in the truck and the classmate who is there tells me where I should move the steering wheel, but he doesn't explain the technique that I should do, the seconds that I have to count, what position I have to stay in or something alone. I'm totally frustrated with this school. The problem is that I already paid half of the school and I already have my appointment to go take my exam in a month.

Man I'm confused, in school they told me the only time I would make a right turn, is at the very beginning when I'm getting my trailer in the angle, I thought turning right would move you away from the cone on the left. When I did my test I was in a stuck position where I couldn't figure out how to move my tires away from the cone on the left, so I turned the wheel to the right and the tires moved away from the cone, from there I was able to get my truck lined up..but in this video you made a few Right turns and that brought you closer to the cone 😵‍💫.. I need help understanding how turning the steering wheel to the right brings you closer to the cone vs taking you away from the cone. In class I made my first initial hard right, then straight wheel, hard left was the rest of the maneuvers until I got stuck
