Mr.steve great video I just fail my test today we been practicing in 53 ft truck then at the test site. We had a 40 ft trailer and I was trying to drive it like it was a 53 and fail. I'm so mad because I'm trying any suggestions

@@ccthehustler4956 If you can drive a 53 ft Tractor trailer on the test route, you will or should have no problem with the 40 foot trailer. Make sure your mirrors are properly adjusted for you. If you don’t have to redo any range skills, you should be more or a little more comfortable retaking the road test. Ask questions whenever needed to the examiner. If possible ride the test route in your vehicle. Trust yourself - say - I can do this!

@truckerstevecdlinstructor thanks mr.steve not really worry bout the road test it was the 4th maneuver which is the one you doing im trying to set my wheel up by the cones like I did in practice. That truck is 10ft shorter so the set up is going to be different I tried for a hour after I fail and still was struggling

@@ccthehustler4956. If your trailer is 40 to 48 ft, there should be no issue. You want the smaller trailer. If you have a 28 ft trailer- okay - you have to get used to that but not with a 40 - 48 foot trailer. Know how to fix any poor setup.

@@kiahpartee2449 when you are backing up, it’s your job to be one yard off the rear cone. If you back up the trailer and the rear left tire is ready to hit the cone, you will need to pull up a little to the left. Not a lot of- then back up straight to the line ( just in front of the cone) hard right backings the trailer into the alley Please check the many videos on this skill and how to fix a poor setup.

@@JazzieSheIs you must learn when to stop 🛑. Must learn to react to your trailer. Practice- practice and practice until it CLICKS. That is your motor skills have Kicked In. Being in control of the movement of the trailer.
