Thank you. This helped me with a big square I did earlier this year and had a recent thought of turning it into a pillow case with a zipper. I just need to make another square to attach to the one I have.

Hello @CrazyCoolCrochet, I was wondering how could I do the back panel when the stitches are more than yours once I made it to 100 rows. How can I make the single crochet decreases evenly on the shoulders? For instance, I did 152 stitches and your cape seems like you did 112 stitches, how can I start it? I would appreciate if you could help me figure it out.
@CrazyCoolCrochet4 күн бұрын
You don't say what size you are working. The 112 is the number of stitches you should have on Row 99 for size small. If you have 152 at that row, you would have gone "wrong" long before that point. You should have been counting your stitches all along and discovered your mistake early on. You should have been working the same number (112) from row 2 through row 99. If you are working size small you cannot continue with 152 stitches. Unfortunately, you will need to undo your work and start over. Whatever size you are making, Row 2 - Row 99 should be the same number.

This is muscle memory, the same thing happens with every frequently used activity. Try taking your first step when walking with the opposite foot from what is normal for you. Takes concentration and is tiring. It also makes your muscles sore which you wouldn’t expect. If yarning under has worked for you for decades, keep doing it and don’t worry about it.

I've been doing it right all along. Oh well was hoping that was my problem. Still looks messy
@CrazyCoolCrochetАй бұрын
If the beginning and end of rows look messy, try this easy fix: If the pattern calls for a ch 3 at beg and end, do a ch 2 instead. That itself can make a difference. Let me know if that helps.

Hey Sylvia. About your arthritis, my father is 82 years old and has arthritis for most of his life. He swears by natural remedies. And his go to is ginger and devil's claw. My dad had a knee replacement already doctors told him he could never work on sea again but he did. They told him he can't walk without a stick he walks without a stick! I know people will come along and say try this or that and it sounds silly but I hope you can look into this. He uses a combination of ginger, turmeric, devil's claw and garlic please look into it if you feel like it. Kindest regards💙

Thank you so much for taking the time to offer your help. This is so kind of you. I will look into for sure. I don't have the typical, run of the mill arthritis. I have the autoimmune version. More difficult to treat. I would much prefer natural remedies, but not sure that would work here. Thank you again!

@@CrazyCoolCrochet hello oh I understand completely, my father has osteoarthritis. I've done a little bit of research this morning on yours just to learn a bit more. And I understand now. Arthritis is a disease that truly takes away the way of your normal living and you have to work around it and make room for it in your life but don't let it control you. You are a strong lady all the best my dear!!
@CrazyCoolCrochetАй бұрын
@@winterblommetjie You have given me much to think about. Don't let it control you...excellent advice. Sometimes the full body pain (not joints) does take over, but the right meds have been helping lately. Thank you so much for you concern. I do appreciate you!
@winterblommetjieАй бұрын
@@CrazyCoolCrochetyou're welcome 😊 I learned all of this from watching my father and how he lives with arthritis. He has learned to manage it and you will too it's very easy to let it bring you down because you cannot do as many things as you have in the past. But it's not the end you will learn a new way to live and get along with your arthritis. You're going to be fine. There'll be good days and bad days but you will be fine❤🤗

#3 yarn = 19 inches wide x 53 inches long. #4 yarn = 49 inches long x 19 inches wide. #4 used 16 ounces of yarn; #3 used 18 ounces.
