I love this pattern ❤. I'm with you. I don't like the really short shrugs. I'm wondering if once you sew up the sleeves, if you could continue around the body portion and make it into a longer sweater? I think that would be cute too! You make some really pretty garments. And easy to make also 🥰.

There is no simple way to make the body longer. This is two straight panels seamed at the top and bottom of sleeves. The chest portion is part of those panels. I might have to make another version of this as a sweater. I'm glad you enjoy my designs!

I like both styles, I’ve also made both. One is more “sleeves” than the other, but I know the name of this project is always different and they always look different 😂. The two I’ve recently made are more sweaterlike and cover my chest. Just depends on what you’re going for!

Since the design is one continuous panel incorporating sleeves and bodice in one, making it to your waist would give you massively wide sleeves.

Yes, two panels. The video shows the seaming which gives you the neck opening and creates the sleeves. There is no typical side seam. The video shows where to stop the bottom of the sleeve seam which then creates the bottom opening.

Simply use a smaller foundation chain using the multiple as explained in the video.

Hmmm. Not really. The panels are one continuous panel from end of sleeve to the other end of sleeve. You would need to make the bodice section shorter, above the bust area to make the sleeves less wide. If you're comfortable with the body section landing more on the upper chest then go for it!
