It’s difficult or course to say for sure. Since you replaced everything else, it’s a lot more likely to be the blue box of doom.

I wish I had more of an update, but the Durango is still sitting just like it looked at the end of this video.

Thanks. It was my intention to keep plugging along, but it’s literally just sitting there in basically the same shape it was in the video. Except it’s been removed from the lift and put in the corner. It’s not all bad though. The last few years I’ve been living the dream with the family watching my kids grow up. I’ll get back to it someday.

As far as I can tell, it’s cast iron.

Yes indeed I welded the tubes to the pumpkin. Still preheated and used that nickel based wire.

Hey JB. I haven’t been able to produce any brackets for these conversions unfortunately. I had to take a break from the crawler world both for my kids and financially. I’ll hopefully get back in at some point. I don’t really know of anyone who has done Durango/Dakota specific components. Sorry my friend.

It was less. More like 3/4” for the pre 2005. Not worth it. Without the shave kit, you can run Dana 70 gears to beef up your gearset. I wouldn’t shave the 99-04 D60 again.

I’m not entirely sure, but knowing me, it was .030” for the mild steel and .035” for the nickel iron wire.

Front drive shaft boot falls off washes out the greese on the shaft bearing and the shaft breaks off the transfer case, so to get home they take the other end of the shaft off. Then they never get a new bearing shaft $500 to put back on, so it stays only 2 wheel drive until they pay the piper for a new shaft. The blue box transfer case brains under dash drivers side under radio needs to be replaced to get the dash light to turn off.

We don't sell them right now. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to complete this build. It came down to the kids or the rig, and I picked the kids. Then I lost most of the tools I was using at the shop. I'll kick it back up when life cools off a bit.
