I will be attempting to change mine on a 05 GT manual transmission. I had an 8 year old battery, assumed it was the battery, bought new battery , same strange noise from starter, not grinding sound, a weird sound like air ratchet gun. I assumed my older battery was not putting out enough CCA’s. But, apparently that was not the case. Will report back later!

I flip cars and i usualy just sell them with the actuator clicking if it does. Today i decided to figure it out. I have 2 actuators bad. I dont want to pay 80.00 for them and i dont want to wait for the 22.00 set from eBay. Which is a great deal. Watching your video gives me the confidence to open them andfix them myself. I dont have motors so i may just rebuild thr motor as well.

As another mentioned, use spray adhesive instead of a hot glue gun. A soldering iron with a pointed tip might could be used instead of a knife

*Manual transmission* Unfortunately the switch on the brake pedal wasn't causing my issue. However while checking the brake pedal, I noticed a similar switch on the clutch pedal. A penny and some duct tape and I was back in business. This also cleared the VSA light that came on at the same time the cruise stopped working. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Those same black thick sheets I’ve used for years as foam inserts for my work boots as long as your boots are just a little over sized you can remover you original insert trace it cut it and put under your original one it really helps and is way cheaper than any store bought insert that seems to stop working after 2 weeks 👍

Maybe it's too late and you don't have the car anymore, but I'd sure love to see the trick to replace the window ( driver or passenger ) regulator mechanism. This has broken on my car 5 or 6 times now and for $200+ to fix it is a major aggrvation. I bought the part and tried it twice but had to take it to the shop because I could not get the thing installed.

I’m sorry, I have not had this vehicle for almost 4 years.
@justgivemethetruth3 ай бұрын
@@DIYJeff LOL, I guessed as much. I still have my 2002 Odyssey, and I really like it, but those window motors keep breaking. If you never had that problem you were lucky. Great running car, but the window motors and the dashboard lights go out so easily and are hard or expensive to replace. Guess I'm lucky that I never had door lock problems, but I have had problems with the door closed sensor on the driver's side, like I open the door and the lights do not go on unless I fiddle with the sensor. Thanks for the videos you did.
@DIYJeff3 ай бұрын
@@justgivemethetruth, I had problems with door locks on both front doors and the driver side sliding door. But luckily, never had a problem with window regulators or motors. I have a video on how to replace the dash clock light if that's of any help to you. And several other videos like replacing the alternator, flushing coolant, fixing cc not working.

8:32 - When you say "I lowered the hood, but it really isn't necessary to lower the vehicle" ... do you not mean just the opposite? That is, lower the vehicle with the hood up or down? I guess you are saying in a way that seems odd to me that it is not necessary to lower the hood to lower the vehicle. Also, when you are adding the transmission fluid to the engine, it looks like your flexible hose covers the entire access hole for the transmission fluid dip-stick ... so how does the fluid get in to push the air out? Did you get a lot of bubbles in the hose or is there a hole in there somewhere for the displaced air to escape?
