"True daylight, but no UV". Not true full spectrum. Another great LED light in the market. Better than most available in terms of spread, to say the least. If you want LEDs, get that. Ha! Best light for corals are real full spectrum. The 6500K halides are what comes closer to sunlight. The 10K halides are second place. 14K halide lamps will give you the best combination of "white" and "blue" light for a halide. The 20K halides are mostly for the "blues", but still a white lamp with the proper ballast. Those 20K halides are still full spectrum, but with more "blues". The 14K halides are the king for any comparison over reef tanks. I love Tulio's explanations. I hope LED users will consider his new lights! I'm still a halide/T5 guy! That tank needs a 14K halide lamp with some nice reflectors IMO!!!! Those LEDs are so expensive and will NEVER SUBSTITUTE the QUALITIES of any halide lamp! Sorry! 13:50. No Andrew, it doesn't "DUPLICATE A METAL HALIDE BULB". THAT IS A WRONG STATEMENT!!

You won’t find an actual expert or scientist who would say higher pH doesn’t equal faster calcification. I mean this is basic science with decades and decades of proven results. How is the hobby going backwards on so many levels?

I was thinking, why not use a combination of epoxy and glue to place the corals? that would make it much much easier to stick corals to rocks. have you guys tried that before? I would mix an epoxy putty stick (reef safe type) and break it into small pieces, put glue on opposite sides of an epoxy piece (one side to the coral and opposite side to stick to the rock you want to it the coral placed on).
