I do the same , but have a perko for each device( brakes, graphs, FFS ) and I keep the fuses next each device, but they are easy to see. Had I known you could have done it this way, I would have considered. I have 5 perkos.

Hello. Does the recon have a drift function comparable to a minn kota with advanced gps? I mean the possibility to sail a line in any direction (also with the wind/current direction) at a set speed? And connected with nmea2000 on the lowrance device, is the built-in gps of the recon also a replacement for a separate lowrance pointer-1 gps? Best regards, Erik

Justin, I'd like your expert opinion. If you had to choose between hummingbird Xplore -OR- Lowrance Elite FS for a new boat, which would you recommend?? Since Lowrance uses daisy chain ethernet is it as fast as HB ethernet switch?? I may even consider 1 HDS if the FX units can sit at both ends of the ethernet Network. Please note I have been using birds for 30 years and I'm downsizing my boat sign ready to put some new electronics on. Just don't know if I'm young enough to learn something new in my last units were Solix G2s networked with an Ultrex, Talons, M360 & HB Maps.

Amazing! I have watched many videos on sonar, with all of the variations of sonar that are available, and have been astounded how NO ONE ever adequately explains the way sonar functions. But here, at least for Forward Facing sonar, you have finally explained this technology in a functional, understandable way. The only improvement you could include here is to show both your end-of-video diagram, AND a shot of your real sonar screen, to show what someone would see on screen, and then where to throw your lure. Incredibly, most videos on sonar never show the on-board screen, and where a fish shows up, and then where you should throw your lure from your boat position, which is the exact info everyone wants to know and see. Your comment on how you can routinely miss the mark (fish), even with sonar, is so helpful. Now I wish I could just apply this effectiveness to my side-view/downward view set-up (I don't have front facing) in a meaningful way.

Got out and messed around with my Eagle Eye unit and was impressed. Simple plug and play with very minimal learning curve. My first live unit and it was easy to figure out images. Only missing touchscreen but once you get it set for your liking you don't have to worry about it too much.
