srs question, how do you group or combine the polygon pupil with the nurbcircle pupil, i tried ctrl+g/ combine, it didnt work. please reply fast 🙏
@jcrossley172 ай бұрын
You want to make the polygon pupil a child of the nurbcircle (Control). Select the poly, shift select the nurb, and Edit/Parent.

serious doubt tho, how do I copy the eye once i have finished rigging?
@jcrossley172 ай бұрын
If you want to copy the eye rig to make the second eye, you have two options: - Import the eye rig file again, so you have two separate rigs. Then, move one into position for the second eye. - You can try duplicating the rig by selecting the top nodes of the hierarchy, going to Edit > Duplicate Special, and enabling the 'Duplicate input connections' option. Let me know which one works for you, and feel free to ask if you have any more questions!
@bigdamnhero22972 ай бұрын
@@jcrossley17 that's exactly what I did I was just wondering if there's a better way of doing it, for instance in my case I opened the eye as reference and then imported it in the scene, but since I'm repositioning it, now it's got values. I guess it's best if I duplicated and placed the joints, controllers to the side for the second eye while I'm doing it to avoid these issues! 🤔

This is almost experimental animation... and i love it. i really like how the blob change shapes constantly to change into a guy that has holes everywhere on his body. That must be a true nightmare to animate this.

The rigging concepts I demonstrate are based on core principles such as hierarchies, simple constraints, driven keys, and connections. These concepts can be adapted to other methods in Maya or even different software. There are many ways to rig characters and props, and each studio or production will have preferred methods that suit their pipeline. The final goal is the animated performance, so I rig like an Animator. Whatever works best for you, cheers!

Thanks! I had just over nine months to make this film from concept to completion. It was a very aggressive schedule, requiring me to complete roughly three and a half shots a month. I thought it might kill me-which is ironic, considering how the film ends.

@@jcrossley17 That is seriously impressive, a little while ago I watched an experimental animation by Shingo Natsume and your work really mirrors his process.
