As far as budget. If you plan on driving it. Look into a super front end kit. Polyurethane bushings and new shocks will make it handle more like a Modern car. I have a kit on my 65 Ranchero. Good luck. Don’t forget to re-undercoat the car either. Bumper to Bumper

Great vids btw and love your mustang! I say the rattier the better. Most of what you said is spot on. I have a 66 mustang (ratty and its gonna stay that way) with a '68 302 and 4 barrel carb. I would have no problem with a straight 6 and it wouldn't burn as much fuel. I just wish my car was manual but in my opinion its not worth converting it so it has a nice slap stick in it (if needed).

So did Ford make a Build Book. I've rebuilt some of chevy trucks and they sell a book that shows all the spot welds to build the truck. Do they have them for Mustangs

Am in Australia and have a 1966 mustang that is sitting 25mm low on left side rear ,have installed new springs, no change, rails look fine and car is straight , so was watching your vid on straightening your rear rail on your mustang which was very good by the way, and was wondering if you could tell me the symtoms or visual things that made you think the rail were out of whack in the first place. Great vids very helpfull.

I watched this before I tackled the Autolite 1100 carburetor on my 1968 Mustang convertible. I took it step by step, taking photos as I went and editing them with labels to help me remember how I took it off. I sent my 1100 carburetor to an Autolite specialist who rebuilt it to factory specs. In the meantime, I’m replacing the tank and sending unit, fuel pump, filter, and all rubber fuel lines. I shot carb cleaner through the metal lines, let it soak, and blew the lines out with compressed air. Repeated that three times. Final step will be to reinstall the newly overhauled Autolite 1100 carburetor. I’m a little nervous about this!! Did you make a video on your reinstall of the 1100 carburetor? Cheers!

No. Cj pony parts. Almost all these aftermarket sheetmetal parts will need to be manipulated and fine tuned.

If I could do it over I would keep the six and 3 speed manual. This is from someone with a 289 4spd with 3.50:1 gearing. I was young when I converted it back in 1986.
