If your psu can handle it it doesn’t matter. The limit on how much it pulls from a single 8 pin is limited by the vbios. You can easily pull 400 w from an 8pin on a good psu without issue

Thanks for the video, I never considered to repair my monitor myself but now I am, but can I ask how much glue exactly did you use? I'm afraid to overuse my glue and end up with spludges on the inside lol

I tried with epoxy glue with toothpick, and it did the job! The worst part was removing the remaining sticker from the monitor.

With the aio is it better to have the fans pulling air from the outside into the radiator or like you have it?

So even tho the whole card isn't cooled properly this is still an amazing card and right now it's one of the cheaper 4090s you can get I have it and it runs great awesome and it runs pretty cold I think you guys should really consider this card especially if yous find an open box like I did

Very, very helpful. It's unfortunate that some cards are simply incompatible with some layout. I'm not a fan of cable going above the cards itself, It looks awkward in my opinion.

Got myself a 7800x3d and TUF 4090 OC. In sweden the Strix just cost waaaay waaay to much. I was struggling in 4K so I decided to upgrade.

Thanks for the tip here! Have a Samsung that had bad popping out, about 1.5" from the middle of screen. This glue worked like charm.

That is such an awesome build 🔥 ok i have a question now as you are clearly very experienced with building pcs and even modifying cases. Would it be possible to get the fractal north and cut out the backplate where the btf connections would go? This might sound insane, but i love the north as a case, but i also love the btf stuff.

I love your build! Actually building a similar machine and I'd like to put the screen in as well. I've ordered the screen but have no clue what I'm doing with the software end. I've used Aida64 for prior screens but I love that tuf gaming logo. Any way you would be able to share that preset? I would be forever grateful!

I don’t use Aida most of the time as it uses a hdmi connection. Amazon search turzx screen it comes with software that’s pretty easy to understand with preset templates. You can also search an open source version on GitHub if you don’t trust the random software, but companies like lian li are also using this software

I know corsair has one somehow a 600 watt 2 to 1? Idk but seems people don't have issues but I'm wondering if that limits it? If you have all 3 in with the adapter I know it gives you the 33% but I'm wondering if using there 600watt cable without the nvidia adapter will it actually allow for the extra 33%. Since we know if you don't plug the 3rd plug into the 4080 super it won't allow for the extra power. Same for the 4090 if you don't plug the 4th one in. Was wondering if it still calculated it if you werent using the adapter? It's weird as if it knows it's not there so that's my question. Does it know that if you arent using the adapter? The 4 pins are data pins. It doesn't need the 2 but it seems 4 does work better just like having all 3 or 4 plugged in allows for more power also. At least from testing ive seen. That's why I'm seriously wondering how tf corsair does it with 2 that go directly into the psu yet allows for 600 watts.

a single 8pin can pull 400 plus watts without a problem. It really depends on the psu. The cap on how much is being pulled from a single 8 pin is mainly on the vbios. Most high end psu will support a 2x8 to 16pin without a problem.

@JCustom for sure but I'm wondering does it not limit the watts using that due to the 2 pins instead of 4? Like instesd of being able to get that 33% it gets capped. When using corsair 2×2+6 to 16 that's what I was wondering. I found out it does with some research. So I'll be using the standard 3 for now until I get a cable like yours and not the one corsair supplies as it won't allow the extra 33% through OC. Found out its the same thing with any connector that has 1 pin missing out of the 4 pins that make it 16. 2 plugs with have 2 and 3 will have 3 but a 4090 needs to read 4 to pull the extra out of it. 4080 super needs the 3 to pull it all out the extta 33% if only 2 on it then yeah it will not allow for the extra headroom for power. It's all based on the signal going through those top4 pins if any are missing it limits it. Also found out the power limit may be the same for the tufs and strix in the 4090 but nit the 4080 super. Tuf is around 355 that's with the extra 10% it allows for. The strix allows for 33% up to 420watts even irs performance mode out of the box is 360 which is higher then the tuf even with its extra 10% happy I got the strix 4080 super now. Even if none OC thank god the power limit doesn't change across strix oc vs none OC. Same for tuf also but yesh def not the same power limits. Only the 4090s are. Figured I would let you know that just in case anybody asked. Talked to 4 overclockers about it already.

I still use 1 braided and 1 regular 3 wires in total it's still 450 watts for my 4080 super its plenty. It's with corsair also. It's fine. I have thought about using corsair 600watt cable but I heard that not having all 3 plugged in won't allow for the 133%? Unless that's only when using the 3 piece adapter? Maybe if it goes directly into the psu like corsair does it will allow it? Just wondering. Thanks. I still think it's pretty cool corsair has a 600 watt cable that goes directly into the psu and don't have to worry about the adapters. What I want to know is how they are pulling 600 from a 1 to 2?

So how do I do the OC stric bios with the none OC? Also doesnt the strix even none OC come out as the same watts even out of the box? I beleive strix In general are set to higher watts correct? Also as we can see the tuf oc and regular is exactly the same. So I'm guessing same goes for the strix line being the same OC none OC. I'm guessing it's Just all silicone lottery and binning seems to be not a thing now. Seems like asus just goes alright flash these and then sell 5% none oc versions just so we can say we have a card with a lower msrp if you want lol. This video also proves for gamers none of the bios really matter and gains are very minimul so if you are just a gamer all are great.

Same power limits across all asus turf ( non classic) and strix. The only thing that’s different is the boost curve.

Still the same situation right? Get the none OC if you can find it? I got the strix 4080 super for 1029 none OC version and i gauruntee i can push it as far as any other OC model. Same as last generation the OC vs none OC didnt matter at all was still just luck of the draw if i remember correclty. Also I will be gaming mostly at 4k so I think I made the right choice with having the extra features.

I used nvflashk to turn my PNY 4090 into the PNY 4090 OC. Barely gained mhz but the fans are now quiet. Anyone try to flash a different vendor bios for more power yet? I'm tempted to try out the 520 watt suprim bios with a 480 base watt. Anyone try that yet? Just looking for input.
