This is super helpful, especially the part about re-gripping and the legs squeezing together. I keep moving my anchor foot because I'm worried about messing up my shoulder. Sometimes it feels really scary to extend so much, like my shoulder's going to get injured - fortunately that hasn't happened and won't if I follow your tips! Thank you!

I've been poling for a year and a half and I'm still not quite there yet. I have my good days and off days but more off tham good and I feel like I'm falling behind my peers 😔 It's hard trying to remember to straighten my back and push my chest out lol. OMG!!! Ive been poling for more than 2 years and can do some advanced tricks but just can't invert. My instructor kept saying that it's more of a technicality rather than strength issue. WOW! THANK YOU!!! After watching this video yesterday, I was finally able to succesfully invert in class last night!! My only issue is that my legs end up holding a death grip around the pole and then I freeze, lol.... but at least I got up!!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!

OMG you are the pole dance teacher of my dreams with your excellent comprehension and use of physics. Thank you! I am 68 and returning to the pole after a few years. I’m much more inclined toward static pole and you deliver the info I want. Plus you’re an awesome champion. But breaking down the dynamics and teach it…. brilliant!! Where I live in Mexico there were only spinning pole classes with 20 year olds. So I bought my own pole again and have a whole new attitude, with great info. Thanks to you
