Greetings Miss Hopkins. Well, I'm just now seeing this - two weeks after the election as it turns out - and thankfully, yes - in a 'landslide' Trump won, thanks be to the heavens. I can tell you, that as a 53 year old American, to me - as much as I love my country - England is the Motherland. My the majority of my DNA ancestry, heritage, and bloodline - come from England. Every time I watch any movie, TV program, or documentary which is set and/or filmed in the United Kingdom, I my heart swells and many times I am close to tears - like an orphan who sees his long lost Mother in an old photograph. (To be honest - I also have ancestral origins in and on both Islands - and as an armchair historian, I am well aware that 2000 years before the Saxons, the Normans, and of course - the Romans - before any foreigner set foot on what is now called England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and/or the Republic of Ireland and claimed ownership, or divided its peoples with Class Division and Religion - the indigenous people that were of those Islands were all of one Race and Ethnicity - as well as their own religious practices - which most will now call 'paganism' - As such - I see no difference truly in English, Irish, Welsh, or the Scottish people - and to me they are all my distant brethren) At any rate - I doubt even if I could pile my family in a boat or jet and moved us to England that we'd be allowed to stay - ironically not because we belong there, or not because we are an Islamic Refugee that has no respect for the people, laws or traditions of the United Kingdom as they have stood for generation after generation - but because we are simply not born there - despite though we look like we did - and we should. However - I pray that if certain laws - well, mainly one - LAWFULLY PROTECTED FREEDOM OF SPEECH - which is probably our most cherished law and right - here in the 'States' - should ever TRULY be the law of the land anywhere (if not hopefully everywhere) within the United Kingdom - I would find a way to migrate my wife and daughter there as soon as possible. Because I DO in fact belong there, as it's in my blood and in my daughter's - and I miss it deep in my soul. So please - please - make this the True Law of England, and I will move there - and I will do my part if possible to keep England's true Patriots like yourself in Parliament - if that's how it goes....honestly I'm not all too sure - but I promise I would learn. As an American this resent Election cycle has really taught me how impactful the American leader is on the world stage. Having Donald J Trump win this election Sets of precedents that it's okay for Western cultureto be proud of who they are, to be happy about it and not be ashamed of it. Obviously not too Deny It's false but to acknowledge them and then to move beyond them so we can be better. We don't have to hate ourselves to do that. We can finally encourage our core values without feeling guilt tripped or gas lit for having them in the first place. To have these things back in center stage will hopefully have a profound effect on Europe and it's people as a signal to be proud of themselves and to share more of themselves. And most of all i hope more Europeans start to value the 1st amendment. To start voting for or electing representatives that will push it into their own lows.
