Me and my mum have come out of season to the east coast for a week to walk dogs on the beaches...the beach from the caravan site states 'no dogs on the beach April-october', my mum a very fit 84yr old wanted to turn around!!! Imagine her giggles when I asked her "what would Katie do?" "Ignore it?" 100% agree. One thing that really infuriates me are the signs in post offices chemist etc telling people not to be aggressive and shout at staff. I have never ever seen that in my town. Okay there may be a couple of drunk people that have done become loud But they are a few and far between, and as I say, I’ve never seen it.. In my experience that sign means ‘we can do what we want and you have no right to complain, that’s what that sign means, it’s taken away my free speech.

They have now turned my local Sainsbury's into what can only be described as a high surveillance pig pen, devoid of human cashiers. You walk through the entrance & are faced with a metal fence. You are then herded through a one way electric gate, with those silly 'theft prevention ' buzzers blaring. Once you have loaded up your trolley, you then head to the checkout, where, if you are lucky, there is one human on the till. Instead you will be ushered into another pen, to scan a full trolly load of groceries through a 'self checkout.' In the process, you will also surrender your identity (& cleavage) to the close up 'security' camera, which are no doubt linked up to 'AI'. All in the name of 'convenience.'

However, more of the smaller 'convenience' style shops, located at fuel stations, are also moving towards 'AI' & self checkouts. It's a very dangerous path. There will come a day when 'AI' will be tuned to recognise & figure out who we are, where we are from, our social media activity, our opinions, our finances & our shopping habits. Our phones already listen to us. Everyone posts their entire life on social media already & social media companies have leveraged this to their advantage, regarding advertising etc. It won't take much for AI to leverage this data too. Alarm bells should be ringing! We are also seeing cash use dwindling sadly. I went into the bank to cash a cheque recently. The cashier listed off about 5 reasons why I didn't need to do this in the bank branch. You would almost think he didn't want his job. But this is the greedy world we live in now. Businesses & corporations want our money, but they don't want to provide a level of customer service. All of the above is a very worrying trend. The UK is hurtling towards a 'Chinese social credit score' system. There will be no physical £ currency. Access to your own money, as well as everyday goods & services will be restricted, if you are guilty of 'wrong think'.
