Nakarkos also has his own unique status effect so I was looking for that. I knew the answers to all of them, but I still answered wrong cuz I just woke up when I saw you were posting them.

Hmph! Don't underestimate me! I may have fell off from the series after Gen 1 and not fully clicked with it until Gen 5 but this ole girl has at least a huge interest in the lore of MonHun and the unique ecosystems of it's world and monsters. So I'd have some passing research on stuff. By the way I failed today's quiz lmao. The fact that Rise couldn't keep me as a player was to my detriment I didn't remember Free Element wasn't a thing for Rise. XD

Some questions where tricky because I only played world and rise and recently only World. I only got the Kushala question wrong which is something I could have known if I remembered the rise fight. I have watched some videos about the older monster hunter games which help with some questions. I had to guess about Kecha Wacha and Narkakos.

I figured that may be the case, I'll try to also do more rise and world based ones for newer players.

Yeah, in the western release Monster Hunter 4U has gore on the box art. By that logic too, since they use to be weird with the western releases, rathalos is the flagship of World in the west cause he's on the cover art. Same with 3U. So this happened in at least 3 releases and 2 of them were rathalos, for the west. Also funny that MH portable 1st/Freedom had rahalos too but that was on both the Japanese and western releases. Even if the cover art wasn't exactly the same. The flagship should have been yian garuga, since he was the only new monster in that entire game. Lol gypceros the undead. No, he plays dead. The funniest part is that the game doesn't help him be convincing at all. If he's the only target in a quest, you won't get the usual quest complete stuff so it's harder for him to trick you. It's why, from now on, his intro quests should always include other monsters and be made in such a way that new players are tempted to kill him first. That way it's more likely to trick them. Rise may have tricked some of the people on the kushala question. In Rise he will use ice, even if he's in the sandy plains. Other games have kushala in desert maps but he doen'st have ice there. Rise is weird like that. Pretty sure it's the only game that did this. It's also the only game where rathian ever shows up in a volcano map, sunken hollow/volcanic hollow are the same place geographically but.rathian only shows up in the sunken hollow.

Rise/Sunbreak is also one of the only games in the series where a Rathalos or Rathian can be found on almost every single map in the game. The only map in Rise/Sunbreak that either one of the Raths *isn't* on is the Frost Islands. Rise Kushala is also a very rare instance of a non-invader ice-element monster showing up on a desert map. By this, I mean a monster capable of inflicting Iceblight.

@@TornaitSuperBird I mean most monsters with ice are almost always in ice maps. It's the most commonly restrictive pairing of a locale and element. I would love to see more ice monsters in maps they usually are not in. With some believable ecology, of course. I would never want an ice monster in a volcano unless it's like a snowy mountain with a volcanic underground section like it's dormant.

Ngl, I should've been more literate with that 4U flagship question. I didn't read it properly and I honestly thought it said GU which isn't even correct! 😂

If this is about my comment i didn’t mean it in a bad way, it feels weird sometimes that 4U was once kinda the benchmark for popularity for MH, and sometimes I forget that at this point most people who love MH these days weren’t even playing back then, hence why it was weird that at first I was the only person to have played what I always remembered as a much more well known MH. Definitely fair to pass on a random 3DS game if you weren’t already into it lol
