I remember when Jim Rome came to salt lake during the Jazz championship. His show, when he returned home dedicated almost the whole show to his interactions with the fans. He just couldn't get it into his thinking how people could have so much fun and energy without any alcohol! Utah is a state on another level of sportsmanship!

The early start concern will not be a thing any longer due to the level up in talent and speed that has occurred in Provo. Previously it a lot of sleepy maybe, but I’ll contend a tiny step slow and somewhat less athletic dudes getting out worked.

Jake ran his A** off chasing down the 90-yard pic-6! The nightmare of 2023 has been crammed down their collective throats, and it has been the reminder into this 2024 squad! So, the butt-kicking BYU received last year has been a constant reminder! The rise of this 2024 Cougar Team is based on the hard negative lessons they learned last year. Stay Humble, Hungary, and tough as nails!

The throw to Robert’s (who made a great adjustment) was in jeopardy, of course Retzlaff got drilled as he threw it. Both were under thrown. It’s why I don’t have an issue with the Wyoming interception. Epps failed to make a play on a 1-1 ball, if you have the talent at receiver you got to take those deep ball risks. Jaren Hall made a living off under thrown deep balls.
@caleblarsen5490
@caleblarsen5490 5 күн бұрын
He even got asked about it, and he told the media that it's better to be underthrown and not picked than to throw it to the safety. I just think Epps didn't do a good job coming back to that ball.

No Hans, you get in your truck and drive to Jay Hills house with a contract and an offer to be at least the C/O Head Coach and 10 yrs at 30M pray he will signs it. Jay Hill is an Urban Myer like in being one of the best in evaluation of talent, recruiting and most important the development of the kids. How many times at BYU do you have a bunch of Freshman come in and get as much playing time, on defense, than this group of Freshman? It hasn't happened the 40 yrs I have watched BYU football and I can't help to get excited thinking what Jay and his Defensive staff can build in the next 3-4 yrs. If they could get a coach on offense that rivals Jay and his ability to get results and make the offense a little above average and this type defense can take you to a Big 12 Championship and beyond. The Brand of BYU has never been in a better place with Football and Basketball than right now. Go Cougs!!!!

When Gifford brought up University of Arizona in Tucson in 1976 as one of his most memorable BYU experiences, I got excited--and emotional. I knew what was coming because it was also one of my favorite memories as a teenage BYU fan. I was in the basement of my house listening to Paul James on KSL Radio. Paul kept talking about the pouring rain, and I wondered how any receiver would be able to catch a long bomb pass when the football was slippery and wet (no gloves in those days). When Gifford brought up the play call by Scoville and mentioned Mike Chonister, I thought, "No! It was George Harris!" Then Gifford described how Chronister was a decoy and that George Harris was to be the go-to receiver. (I'm sitting here smiling learning that Scoville called him "Gorgeous George.") I'll never forget Paul James calling that completed touchdown pass. I was absolutely ecstatic. I went to bed as happy as I could be that night. Thank you Gifford for sharing that unforgettable experience.
