Yeah there's not alot of give or grip to them. It takes a pretty good little tug and a running start sometimes to get it to clear some of the big roots in my yard. Get's the job done for a good price for me (even if I had had to buy it at $60, I was fortunate to have it given to me to test). But all I have to do is get the kayak from the backyard to the truck, over a pretty good patch of roots. If you were really dragging your boat long distances or through the woods, this would be a hard one to recommend. I also have it maxed out on the weight capacity I'm sure. That 136 Old Town is pretty stout with the motor and battery in it. I usually haul it on the kart without those in it.

what would your top 3 soft plastics be
@ProjectEditzzz3 ай бұрын
for largemouth
@ShayeBaker3 ай бұрын
@@ProjectEditzzz Hmm. That's a great question and a hard one to narrow down to just three. Off the top of my head though, a Strike King Menace Grub would probably be in the top 3. It's a super versatile little bait that you can use as a jig trailer or just rig on a Texas rig and flip or even punch with it. I'd probably have to pick a toad too like a Horny Toad or Ribbit. And this isn't because this is one of the best soft plastics for catching numbers, but it would give me the best soft plastic topwater. That way I could still fish a topwater. Then after that I'd probably go with a Senko or other soft plastic stick bait, just because they're so versatile and effective at getting bit by largemouth year round. Great question. Here are some links to these baits. (I added my tag to the back so that I'll get a commission from TW if you decide to pickup anything). Is it a "World Class" or "Elite" Fenwick? Their Elite rods are really nice too and priced at around $250. But the World Class is top notch and $450-ish, depending on the model. Either way you got a good deal at $140 for what each is listed for.

@@navyvet8798 What's the length on it? Seems like you said 7'4"? I like a 7'2" heavy/fast for most of my frogging. The 7'4" world class will be super light though in comparison to most 7'4" rods. And I imagine it'll have a little softer action than most heavy/fast rods too. All that being said, it should make a great frog rod, especially around cover. But it might be a little hard to make under hand and roll casts with it because of the length.

@@ShayeBaker Honestly like how they are made. I think the extra fast look closer to a fast with a bend but I think the difference is that the extra fast is a bit softer. Rod companies seem to all be different with how they differentiate their actions. This was comparing a ML to M spinning though and not the best way to compare the two actions. I don't care for a stiffer extra fast anyways so that is a nice compromise if that is the difference.

I'm impressed by the speed that little propeller set up gives you with just pedal power. I'm disabled, so I can't use that. I'm thinking a person could remove the pedal arms and create something with a u-joint and a shaft to the seated rider that would allow a person to power the propeller with a cordless drill. What this could also use is some caster wheels (possibly removable) at the back. When attached, they would then be able to pivot out of the way (so no drag). That way, one doesn't need to carry all that weight to the water. The person who came up with this was ingenious thought with a few modifications could be used by anybody--even those with limited strength. In my design, the caster wheels could also connect to the carrying case with a telescopic handle, like you see with heavy luggage. Anyway, good video. Keep up the good work. Thanks from NB, Canada. 👍✌

I believe it is alot narrower than yours. I run a carbon fiber ascend paddle. I don't know the length offhand. also i stop my paddle stroke once i get to my hip. it helps with tracking also. Another tip is if you want a quieter aerator there's one that runs off usb power so you could just use a small power bank and they are almost silent. I'd just throw an air stone on one of those and call it a day. they run about 13 bucks at aquarium coop. some are prone to failure after awhile so might want to bring a spare.
