Thanks! Haha, the video is a decade old so the Dr Pepper 10 comment would probably go over viewers heads now. It was marketed as "not being for women" which is why I was jokingly referring to it as "the manliest soda in the world".

Just what I needed to know! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! For those for whom it's 'not working' , the trick is to make sure the below objects are 'shapes' as in filled paths, not objects (not outlined type or unexpanded paths).

Work for a studio or agency that already has big clients. Build your portfolio and reel using the work you created there, then you can branch out and get hired on your own.

Sorry about that, I prefaced the video mentioning its not a beginner video and that you should now how to create the things that were already prepared. Luckily you can learn those simple skills in a few minutes, then come back and follow along the next steps :)

Could be so much better, Its blurry and i cant see your icons in your menu. For instance i cant find the smooth tool - no clue is given as to how to select it. Also there are lots of clicks, selections etc that are done very fast as if your watchers are not beginners. I am a beginner.

To get rid of white lines, select artwork >select>same>fill color than from the pathfinder menu click unite.

This was very helpful even today because I learned a few tips. So thank you. I am struggling exporting from adobe illustrator to photoshop without my images being flattened. Anyone know how to get around this? It's sooo annoying.

You can copy any vector graphic in AI and paste as smart object within PS. If you are exporting a multiple layers your need to go to Export>Export As> PSD> and make sure write layers is on.

@@danpgrady Yeah I did that. It still flattens my images. I think it doesn't like the grouping. So I tried ungrouping but I am still having problems uploading to crazy talk animator 3. It is sooooo annoying. =-(

I love it but they need a way to click a stopping point and switch to eyedropper quickly. I am used to mesh where you could do this: eyedropper > direct select > select a point > hold down the modifier key to temporarily switch back to eyedropper > let go of the modifier key > select the next point > repeat.

If you open up the gradient panel you will see there is an eyedropper built into the panel. If you have that selected you can select node and color pick. Its actually faster since you don't need to press a modifier key.

It even samples the white from the artboard and grey from the scratch area :) Still not as good as sampling any color in the interface like After Effects, but its a nice addition :)
