Thank you for putting this together. Do you iron the pleats a bit before hanging them so that they keep their shape, or is that a function of the fabric that you are using? Also, when you are calculating the length you need, do you need to a extra for the drape at the top?

He basically ran the ribbon around the whole outside and tied it? Seems pretty cut and dry to me. But I don’t want to use that shiny slick ribbon. Seems you could just bump it and it would come untied. I’m making some today, and going to use the same material from my curtain by just buying an extra panel that matches my picture window curtains. That way they can be customized but matching. But I’m also hanging a paper shade for privacy when I want my homemade shade to be pulled for fullness and prettiness.
