Severely underrated. This guy is the best extreme metal guitarist since Jon Levassuer.

I’m assuming you’re talking about NAMM 2020? Yes, it’s possibly the best video to date that you have. As for a full on playthrough/settings video like the ones Mel does, demonstrating the product in isolation in a pure “death metal” format, I’m not aware if such a video exists, or any video exists on the subject to be honest. When I speak of “Death Metal” I’m talking bands such as Vitriol, Suffocation, Hate Eternal, Nile, Hideous Divinity etc. Getting Mel to demo the Natas in front of an Orange Terror for example, has 600 views over 4 months, 25 odd likes and a couple of comments. The videos are drawn out, simplified to the point that it feels like we are a bunch of pre-schoolers and the tones achieved for a product that is known for its ability to be “brutal” are far from. I tune out now when I see a thumbnail with Mel on it, as I know what I’m going to get. No offence to him or your marketing team, but your channel is littered with the same scenario as the Orange Terror example above. Then, on the odd occasion, we get a semi-professional video with another player playing rehashed 80’s pop tunes with tapping versions of Twinkle twinkle little star over a fully edited to the grid fake drums and all production that most could have a little dance to. There are thousands of us death metal heads crying out for someone decent to show the “brutality” side of Fortin Amplification. Hell, even some good “Thrash” style (Exodus, Kreator etc) would even be a sight for sore eyes and ears. You’ve got blokes like Jason Frankhouser that should be captaining the ship on the thrash metal side. Kyle from Vitriol heading up the death metal side along with others like Karl Sanders from Nile who uses the Fortin Nameless plugin for songwriting/demos. Do what BC Rich finally did a few years back and grab someone of the same ilk like they did with Erik Rutan. I would personally love to see musicians like the above mentioned a few times a year, rather than the same boring, same setup, same happy prog modern pop themed videos that are put out every month or so. I honestly think it’s hurting the brand not having death/slam/tech death side of things addressed. I would love for you blokes to have a full series of videos on the subject. Some real death metal, not “melodic” death metal or anything that’s majorish/happy sounding. Just pure “brutality”. And please … no more videos on plugging a Natas into a JCM 2000 and making it sound like 💩. Your products deserve so much more than to rely on one person to market 90% of what you have. Food for thought gentlemen. 🤘

Hey man, I appreciate your feedback and as far as trying to get other players on the platform and meeting them up while they’re on tour is challenging, we try to do that unfortunately I am the solo creator on the channel and I try to get other players involved. I’m the person running the KZbin and the person building 100% of the videos from top to bottom. KZbin directly punishes most content that does not surpass the 10 minute mark. I’m using my personal amp library, which is hard by and large to a mass for these videos and I’ve done my personal best to speak to the community and learn what the community needs. I can make a push to try to meet up with these creators and players to make this a reality to better demonstrate these products actually can do. But I have been running this channel for multiple years and have been directly rewarded for creating hard-core gent and modern guitarist style videos like Polyphia even though I personally don’t have that skill set. With that being said, I’ll all push to create more death metal centric content on the channel.

@@Paul_Medicyou have the brain of a preschooler so you need it simplified. Hope this helps!
@Paul_Medic16 күн бұрын
@@troymullins2757 thanks for reiterating my point. You too see it as simplified, as others also. The long drawn out process does not help keeping most of the audience watching unfortunately. Now, as for your opinion of myself, regarding my “preschooler” brain, how you have reached that conclusion through my above reply to Mel requires me to take anything you say with a grain of salt. Not sure if you read it in its entirety, but my use of grammar, punctuation, examples, facts and offerings to make the videos/content a little better are all far from “preschooler” idiosyncrasies and were maybe missed by your eyes, or … you just maybe good old fashioned butthurt, for which I do not apologise for. So, if you’re going to be one of those children that can not stand to hear/read some positive criticism and deal with it by throwing a single stone from afar, make it a big one mate. Work on that “custard” arm of yours, bound it together with examples, facts, improvements etc as to why you would make a statement like that. Let us know where it hurts. Is Mel a friend? Are you a prog/djent player? What specifically made you come up with such a statement and why? Go pick up a boulder, come closer and then go your hardest. Show me why it hurts instead of firing from a distance. Again, not sure if you’ll read all this or if you are indeed capable more to the point … but I hope this helps. 👌

My understanding is that the Zuul+ key input-thru is buffered. How will this work with germanium fuzzes, like a Tonebender MK1? Everyone knows that germanium fuzzes don't play well with a buffer in front of them: the transistors need to "see" the guitar's volume pot directly. The Zuul+ would be a better design if the key-thru was true bypass so it would play nice with germanium fuzzes. Am I missing something?

Small Clone chorus. I can get great drive from my amps if I wanted to, I can live without delay or pitch effects, I can use my amps for less crazy reverb, but that chorus stays on all the time. That I can’t do without and still sound like myself.

A DAW consumes too many resources. I recommend using Gig Performer. A host of the plugins vst that is much more versatile and hardly consumes RAM memory.

Are those Teemu Ibanez models customized? They look like Solar guitars with Ibanez logo.
@AUM_-po9scАй бұрын
This guitar originally was a stock Ibanez, Jake Bowen's signature model (JBM) specifically. Teemu sent it to a luthier named Kaur Kukkur in Tallin, Estonia, who basically turned it into a different guitar with Teemu's specific modifications.
