Hey Craig, first I have a heard about your drunken escapade! I have actually been run over 3 times,!! didn't break anything, but one time I was hit by a speeding taxi while running across the road from the Butchers arms in Swinton with 2 bottles of Pils in my hands because the nadgers pub was packed so it was easier to get beer from across the road, anyway i saw the headlights but didn't realise the taxi was going about 60 miles an hour when it came suddenly upon me(instant Judo experience kicked in ,lean in and roll your body) i rolled straight over the taxi and landed on one of the bottles, bit of a gash in my side but I got up still holding the bottles, my mate panicked liked mad before i just sat down and thanked my lucky stars, ambulance came and blue lighted me to the hospital, after waiting for an hour I discharged myself and went to the wishing well night club in Swinton!! next day I was in agony haha, will have to have a meet up and talk about it, miss you & ya mum and Darryl, take care and hope everything going OK for you xx

Very profound. You have a way with words. I liked when you spoke in another language ... it sounded magical whatever it was. I have a playlist of some very simple rhyming poems. I wonder if you would like to see some of them sometime? kzbin.info/aero/PLy1yOsNCtsxPfgxux_hqq5evbekET079q

Amazing poem, as always. It feels very intimate, as if I'm there, in front of you and you are saying all these words straight into my heart. I'm listening to you so carefully, holding my breath. I can almost smell the ginger and lemon you had put in your cup that morning. You are right, our thoughts and words are not our own, but it's what you can do with them matters. The way you spin an elegant cobweb of letters, channeling your thoughts through a digital machine is a true art. The music is a great analogy to everything you've said - there are only ever 12 notes and it seems everything I improvise on the piano has already been written by someone… And yet, masterpieces will be created until the end of time.

Wow, what a nice comment. This is exactly what I want from this channel - to inspire people to write their own forms of poetry and to have fun with words. Thank you for this! (See you in the kitchen in a minute, ha).

Thanks, Ma. I’m glad you always enjoy these. The ice noise was created using a paper bag, then pitching it down. It’s not exactly accurate, but I was going for a certain tone and feeling.

Our bodies are such powerful machines.. generally speaking, so much un tapped potential that isn't fully understood..
@monolithpoem2 жыл бұрын
You’re right, Chris. We are physically capable of incredible things. The flip side is that our bodies are able to hold onto experiences and trauma in ways the mind doesn’t always seem to understand. Breathing, exercise, yoga, whatever - it all helps me to reconnect with my body, which of course helps me to identify what’s going on. Thanks for watching!

It can be immensely difficult confronting and dealing with things we’ve buried. When we feel ashamed of something it’s all too easy to push it from our minds or as you said ‘create a narrative’ which, over time, we can end up actually believing. Miracles come in lots of different packages and this story is a good example of that. Thank you for being brave, taking responsibility for your actions and sharing with us. ❤

You scare me. I spent rather a lot of time wondering if you'd killed the woman you describe before I realized why it was called The Batman. The angle, the lighting, your voice, your words - everything about this performance is pure perfection. It feels like a truly finished product, and it's the best thing I've seen in a long time. It's difficult to stop watching you.

Wow, yet another intense and thought-provoking video accompanied by such perfect music. Along with the words of the poem, the serene and beautiful footage really does show there’s a world out there. A world just waiting, begging even, to be explored. We live in a society where so many of us are not really living, myself included, but we just get on with our lives, accept what we think is the norm and bitch and moan and do nothing about it. We need to live in the moment and embrace the beauty that surrounds us. That’s my plan anyway! 🙏

I got chills! To see how your expression changes at different moments... the vulnerability and honesty in your performance create a level of intimacy that goes beyond reading words on a page. And the shots of the lake are moody and lush, I feel transported to that melancholic space.
