'Mentre scorrevo You Tube alla ricerca di giovani talenti da poter valorizzare, mi sono imbattuto in una 99enne.....spettacolare ciò che ho ascoltato..., Vero che si chiama MAGDA OLIVERO, ma anche lei con quei limiti che inevitabilmente crea l'anzianità. Bhe, sbagliato caro Enrico, devo ricredermi, ascoltarla cantare "Paolo datemi pace" con quella nitidezza, musicalità, capacità espressiva che con gli anni non ha assolutamente perso, mi ha lasciato senza parole. Rimanere meravigliato, stupito da tanta capacità, pur sempre vero che erano delle splendide e quotate artiste ed hanno avuto una lunga carriera, oltre che una lunga vita, ma io che cerco giovani, mi ha incuriosito il contrario. Ho cercato e trovato moltissime artiste famose ai loro tempi ma rimaste molto capaci a cantare anche quando hanno oltrepassato gli 80anni. Questo significa un modo di studiare di un tempo, e che oggi non c'è più, poi, la continuità nel farlo anche con il passare degli anni, e protratto sempre con tempra e voglia, lasciandoci oggi un elevato numero di persone che nonostante gli anni sono in grado di competere con le nostre nuove cantanti la cui vita canora si perde...ho ascoltato la ieri brava RICCIARELLI ed oggi, con un' età meno di quella della MAGDA OLIVERO, sarebbe meglio che non andasse in giro sforzandosi di cantare, con una voce ormai stonata e bruttissima da ascoltare. Si fermi Ricciarelli, perchè non lasciarci con quella sua bella voce che aveva, e che ora non ha più, contrariamente a molte ultra 90enni (ho ascoltato diversi artisti in sala Verdi) che si esibiscono in CASA DEGLI ARTISTI in Milano in occasione di alcuni concerti in cui sono stato invitato. Thank you very much...for singing..and for publishing this concert. It is indeed an exceptional recording by an exceptional singer. Unbelievable how her voice fills the entire room, also an excellent accompaniment that is perfect, never dominant, but pleasantly present. The intensity of the applause shows how wonderful it must have been to be there at the concert.

Interpretazione "datata" ma validissima ancora oggi. Come un bel mobile liberty affascinante tra mobili ikea. Tecnicamente il "legato" della Olivero è. come sempre, di altissima scuola.

What a gorgeous piece of singing, and by a voice that was so well suited to the role. I wish I could have been there to see and hear this performance,

I think I enjoyed that conducting too. The orchestra built intensity with her, without ever drawing attention to itself, and then played after her as if it were continuing on with her voice and art, instead of taking a solo.
