Excellent break down of this drill press! You showed how it works from the inside even! I have the 8250. Would this rub against the attachment like the 8260 that you mentioned? TY! Very well done vid! TY so much! 😀

Thanks :) I think the hardware on the 8250 and the 8260 is identintical when it comes to size. So yes. But it is not a huge problem, i use the 8260 as my main Dremel for the Drill press. I don't really notice it. But I thought it was worth mentioning. Remove the flex shaft hook from the 8250. that will get hooked on the gray cover on the workstation if you dont :)

@@rotarycrafts8760 The 8260 fits very well. Just turn it 90 degrees in the holder... There is a second hole on the right side for access to the spindle locking button when changing the tool.

Not quite what we were talking about. You can change bits while in the press, that's true . But the 8260 is thicker than other models, so it will rub against the gray part of the 220 drill press while pulling the lever. Thanks for the input though. :)

Please adjust the play of the spindle. It's a horror to see you working with the wobbling spindle 😮

I was looking for a drill press. Wondered if I should get this for my Dremel or a proper drill press for my drill. For doing lots of drilling for furniture, which one would you get?
@rotarycrafts87605 ай бұрын
Hi. For furniture I would probably get a drill press. A Dremel is only good for smaller holes, it can drill up to 1/4" and max depth is around 2". With a drill press you have the option to drill larger holes, drill deeper, and use other types of bits like for example forstner drill bits. A good cordless drill also works fine for furniture, a little bit harder to drill straight though. Hope that helps :)

please do NOT buy this thing. i bought one a few years ago and never used it more than once or twice. it's garbage, all slop and wobble no matter what i tried to stabilize the mechanism, you'll never get an actual round hole, only ovals of different sizes. just buy a cheap drill press, you'll thank me later.

Just out of curiosity, cause I've never tried it, how well do you think using the Dremel with this attachment like a router for aluminum?
@rotarycrafts87604 ай бұрын
You can.... But I would expect too much of it in terms of accuracy. The bits will scew a little bit if too much pressure is put upon them. Maybe if you go really shallow it can work fine.

How to create a rectangular piece of wood into a pipe? Thank you

does it turn only to the right side?
@RGun9018 күн бұрын
Depends which rotary tool you use but you never really need to run a drill press in reverse
@AsterFoz18 күн бұрын
@@RGun90 what do you mean? I am left handed and need to turn it to the left, not to the right. What does rotary tool has to do with this? For me right side is 'reverse'.
