Which would you rather this vigilante or the X Max? Just bashing, nothing too extreme. Or even at XRT? Which would you prefer? I got an X maxx but at times wish I got the ultimate for long term. Though I really don’t jump it that high off of things.
@stonejss727Ай бұрын
@@johnc7894 The Redcat is awesome but It broke every time I drove it….while my brothers xmaxx ultimate just kept going..he did put hd arms on it though. My xrt ultimate never broke and I beat it pretty bad ..just would bend the cvds once in a while but I’d just bend them back. The thing for me looking back is the value… the Vigilante is an excellent value, and stock for stock drives better than ether traxxas rig. If you’re going to do a little more hard-core bashing or wanna do upgrades to your vehicle I’d say Traxxas is the way to go though because there’s so much aftermarket support. I have a couple other videos of my brother‘s Xmaxx , which is heavily modified and my XRT which I heavily modified as well but you’re talking $3000 cars at that point.

@@drunkinmaster1 not on the jumps we hit with them…it might if you go more than 10ft…the Losi is way more durable than the MCD, but the MCD drives really nice. The chassis are 7075 so I think that helps… I know some Arrmas are supposed to be but probably really are not…lol

Do not. I repeat do not go past 500 in the center. I’m on my 3rd center diff now from learning the hard way. Until someone makes a aftermarket diff housing I wouldn’t touch it. They are purely made out of shitty material. I had 20mil in it first, 1/4 way through a 8s bash and it started grinding, so bought a new housing and gears and put 1 mil in it. Half way through 6S freaking 6s and it does it again. Now I’m running 500 and I’m way too scared to run it on 8s. So it just keep it on 6s until vitavon or someone makes one to replace it. (I do have a HW max 5 esc with the 4990 1650kv motor) so that’s not helping. But it’s a fact that the diff are junk
@stonejss7273 ай бұрын
Ya …I shimmed the internal gears and used longer diff screws…I didn’t have any skipping after that but I finally gave up the truck after the gear cover that holds the spur shaft down started to come off the chassis…I modded were the screws go but it eventually pulled through…the biggest problem with the truck is the back of the chassis where the gear cover holds down that spur shaft. Don’t see any way of actually fixing it unless someone redesigns the chassis. It’s to bad because it’s an awesome truck

Can you control the car in the air so that it doesn't "nose down" as much on the landing? I'm guessing that it entails giving it throttle in the air to pitch the nose up? I'm new to this, so I'm just curious.
@stonejss7273 ай бұрын
@@joslinnick kinda… it matters more if you’re on or off throttle when you go off the jump, and the jump itself. If it’s a short take off you’ll need to be on power when going off it, if it’s a longer takeoff then you can be easier on the throttle. The truck can make small adjustments in the air. Also these things were designed to be gas power…the electric conversion can throw the weight off. Depending on what battery mounts you use you can adjust some of the weight forward or back. At least that’s what I’ve learned during my time with that truck… also tire size will help……they’re definitely awesome trucks
