How is the tekin compared let say to a hobbywing xr8 plus 2gs?

This video current conditions? If so I’m jealous. Also, I’ve run tekin gen 3 setups in a lot of my buggys and love the performance. However, I have about 6 motors (1900) now basically trash due to the rotor magnets breaking. Granted the 52’ double hasn’t helped and I had somewhat sandy soils in some sections of my track. That said ok, understandably that will break down. I found the rotors w/magnets and bearings sold separately and purchased like 3 and rebuild them, all good. Then after a short time the back of the motors start to separate from the can and they’re done for. I don’t why and after the backs start to separate you can’t get them pulled back tight because the back seems to be pressed on during manufacturing. Ever have that with yours? It may be just because I run so much and beat the hell out of them but for the price I wish they held up better. Due to this Ive been switching over to Hobby wing and Castle as they seem to be most durable and a bit cheaper.

No my track is snow covered....☹️...ya I haven't had any problems with the tekin motors other than bearings every 10 to 20 packs, my brother had one where the magnets started breaking...they are definitely not the most durable but I like the smooth power from the tekin combo's.....I traded my brother for his mbx8t Eco for the HB in the video. I using the Mugen for bashing...I threw a max8 combo in it and I'm running 6s...he's gonna us the HB for racing on are track. I'm gonna try an sworkz s35-t2e truggy, I'm building it now..I like trying new brands. I'm also thinking about getting an Arrma Mojave exb, it will be my first arrma. Just have to talk my wife into it...lol

@@stonejss727 ok cool. I definitely love the tekin but it was one after another breaking and I had enough. Although, it would probably be beneficial to unload some buggys and Or Truggys. Instead of having 7-10 ready to pull of the shelf I should have Like 5 that are well Maintainace. But that would mean possibly getting rid of some nitros… id rather give up a kid! That would free up some time for maintenance hahaha Jk. Kinda! Yeah I know all about having a wife boss. But they keep us grounded, somewhat!!!

@@stonejss727 hum🤔, today 29. Last week I had an even 30 but I gave my buddy a kyosho Truggy that I was tired of taking room up in the garage. I stay around 30 because thats the number of shelves I have currently. I needed room for my new Tekno Truggy and I ordered the Mini B. New small turf track coming soon!!! Granted not all are rtr at the moment but mostly due to something small, a part I’m having trouble getting or amount of receiver’s. My wife mentioned one time, she preferred I try Crack! I prefer to have something to show for my addictions!!

@@stonejss727 Happy New Years, Stoney RC. I was wondering if the addition of the arm inserts had prevented the new CVAs from bending like the universals. I don't have the chance to try a lot of different truggies out, so your vids help a lot! 👍👍

@@ronchang9791 they did stop it for awhile..but eventually the inserts cracked and then I was back to square one……at the end of the day a cva/universal bending here and there isn’t a big deal…..I switched to sworkz for my buggy and truggy and haven’t looked back… best decision I’ve made in a while….

Are there mud guards available for the E8T also? Are the HB E8T Evo Rear Chassis Braces by 454 RC Works worth it? Also, are the HB Racing Front/Rear Carbon Arm Stiffener Sets from AbsoluteHobbyz needed? Thank you
@stonejss7272 жыл бұрын
I have not seen any mudguards for this truggy there may be some out there if you do some searching…the rear brace and carbon arm inserts will make the truck feel more planted, but if your track is bumpy then it might not be the beast thing…my front inserts broke after a couple hard crashes …. Probably worth a try though

Hey stoney, just wondering if the E8T evo 3 has interchangeable parts with the E819rs buggy… I want to get a Tekno truggy but my local hobby shop is HB so I thinking it would be better off getting HB cars… I mean to an average joe all the brands produce good cars… what do you think…? The tekno eb48 v 2.0 is the tekno truggy I’m originally wanted.
@stonejss7272 жыл бұрын
The bulkhead, shock ends, drive cups are basically the only parts that are the same…maybe a couple others , but not enough to make it worth buying for parts compatibility…. It’s an excellent truggy but I’d go with what you really want… can’t go wrong with tekno or HB

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 no not even close. The tekno actually has instructions that make sense also if you have extra screws left over they went somewhere it has high quality parts no leaks goes together in 24 hrs easy no isshues. This hb kit is the complete opposite Easley the hardest instructions to follow has you build things completely out of order. The shocks and diffs leak no matter how hard you drive the screws in has taken me 3 days just to put the rear end together and i work at an rc shop putting kits together for people and fixing cars this hb kit is a 1/10 only because you get a semi driveable car afterwards
