Can anyone shed the light on the screen protector? I am considering buying (price dropped a lot for the holidays). I hear reviewers mention factory installed screen protector. I asked OnePlus, and they say there is NO screen protector. I am confused. Traumatized. Lost sleep, appetite, ability to perform marital functions.

I have this phone and I use it to work and I am tired of all the errors it has, good for its price but I prefer to put a little more money and have it work well.

Looking at this sound system and how did you find light sync set up on ultra wide monitor? Heard it was a pain.

"this is a solid display" my op12 has a washed out display no matter what color mode i pick. its just so bad if i hold it next to my brothers s23 ultra it looks like a cheap china phone display

I bought one for Mom a couple months ago, so I could grab her a 256 GB phone. It wasn't on super sale like it is now, but it was still a great deal! I have to say that after years of hearing people be down on the optical finger print scanner, I have had no issue since the Pixel 7. The sensor on the 6 was bad, but both the 7 and the 8 were great for me. I think reviewers don't like optical b/c you have to press for a fraction of a second vs tapping like you do with an ultrasonic sensor.

i know at this point this phone got much more hate that it was necessary and i really like this phone. it is very nice, reminds me of the iphone 11 BUT at this price range just go for the Iphone 12 or 13, even if you are an android fan. just trust me on this one, those are the absolute best phones in this price category and i really am not an apple fanboy im just stating facts it is MILES better than this phone. Im sorry but this phone really has no place in the current market unless you are a pixel phone superfan, but just know that you are not spending your money right...

Yeah this is 500 euro so hardly “budget” for 20 eu more you can get a iphone 13 here so thats a no brainer compared to the pixel.

The Pixel 8A is the last true Pixel. Now Google is copying Apple. BTW the screen is not flat. It's 2.5 D curved. Protectors do not cover the whole screen.

It's funny to think 400$ used to be flagship territory but a few years later 330$ is clearly budget. Now sub 500$ is budget, 500$ to 1000$ mid-range, 1000$ to 2000$ flagship, 2000+$ foldable/tri-fold/luxury phones. And all that while the new generation of phone add nothing new, it's just a status symbol. Buy the 8a if you don't mind looking poor, it's a great phone that got those thick bezels to remind people where you come from. :)

I would recommend a used pixel 7 or a used pixel 8 instead i would be cheaper depending on which country you are in

Pixel is a shitphone. No good battery life. It's only being hyped because it is from USA. Try Oneplus 12R. That's a great bang for buck phone. I miss Huawei.

The fingerprint reader on my Pixel 8 recognises my left thumb, but not my right. It also has the same problem my Pixel 6 had. An unknown number calls me and there is no option for the Google assistant call screening. The feature isn't there nor is it in the settings. The other problem is the voice to text. I swear that Google assistant speaks english as a third language or is illiterate, yet if i use my limited spanish phrases, it gets it perfect.
