Hi Olya, you´re such a good teacher. I have start working as a schoolteacher after a "pause" that lasted twenty years. I have almost only ukrainian kids here in Denmark and i figured that the only way to teach them my language was to learn theirs (and yours). Difficult? yes, Exciting? BIG YES

Some vocab from it: зізнатися - to confess зізнання - confession зігнути - to bend зібрати - to collect зусилля - effort зухвалий - daring з’ясувати - to find out мовитися, змовитися - to conspire хвалити, схвалити - to praise, to approve (?) кінчитися, скінчитися - to run out (?) кинути, скинути - to throw away?

If с- or з- is used, does that mean the дієслово is conjugated in past tense? (“Вона зробила…?)

Not necessarily. It just means that the action either had been completed, is completed or will be completed. Робити - to do. Зробити - to have done. Вона зробила усю роботу вчора. She had done all her work yesterday. Вона зробить усю роботу завтра - She will have all the work done tomorrow. So, the prefix tells us nothing about the tense.
