So my question is : was the RV driven to the location, and left by the owner, or was the RV given to someone that was staying at the location, or was the RV stolen and driven to the location ?

Those jacks are leveling jacks, lets say it together now leveling jacks, leveling not meant to hold up the wait of the RV in the first place they should never be used for what you did to begin with

They ARE correct. When you reach the high rail you use more chain therefore more weight and more force through the tires. You need a more accurate load cell and you would know you were wrong.

I think a 12" thick concrete pad to park your RV on would be a wise investment. Throw in some over sized jack stands for the future.

It may have been commented on but will still put in what I'd do. Fix the brackets and X-brace the jacks like landing gear on a semi trailer. One would think there is a check valve to keep cylinder from bleeding off very much like a backhoe or crane outrigger has. Good luck.

We all get stupid once in a while but you are fortunate to have the tool (Zacklift) to handle the situation. Anyone else would have had to spend a fortune to call out someone else to help.

Casey…You know how to generate comments! Well done my friend. Sounds like you have a leveling system made and installed on either a Monday or Friday. First the tires now the leveling system what’s next.

Back up camera is wireless and runs on 2.4ghz. I would suspect that the signal is just not making it through the metal.

I always place wood blocks under each jack, even if I'm parked on bedrock 😮 My RV does weigh a bit more than yours, however.

Lessons to be learned... Irrespective of what caused it, the jack system is being used beyond what it was designed for If it was an aftermarket one, perhaps with Chinese components, fitted to a set cost, it is always going to be marginal, esp. considering the universal bolt-on brackets used (which were the failure point). Even parked and being used to level the RV, it is just to allow blocks to be placed under wheels to level it out, not as a holding system. The jacks should have been installed further / wider apart to spread the load instead of concentrating the load in that narrow configuration, which when the slideout are extended, would be even worse. The trolley jack would be better off placed under the frame, instead of lifting the suspension... and climbing under that situation originally to inspect it without securing the load was not the best practice... stick the camera under there to look, not your head & body... if you have heavy duty truck stands, use them in situations like this, on hardwood base plates if needed, if you don't have such stands, get some...

Interesting to watch..but can we get to the amount right off the bat? I blew 3 tires on a Ford Dually and the 20 mile tow cost me $700. Auto Club came out twice but had nothing that could tow a 350 crew with a Lance. I paid a full Tractor tower rather than sit on the freeway any longer. AAA said 3 more hours..nope. it was a great ending though
