I don't know much about motor racing, but I've not heard of a racing circuit and hill climbing combined.

Is this Gran Turismo music? Edit: yes, my theory was correct, I just scrolled down a bit.

I used to live in Burghfield common and had heard of the local hill climb but always was told it was man’s hill itself (the main road) which would make sense as it does climb a hill. Thanks for clearing that up. And before anyone moans at you it’s pronounced burr-field!

Things like this are history and should be restored. Maybe not for racing but just for the historical fact

Nice to see a video on this! Iv walked it a few times. Iv told many locals about the abandoned race track and they all think I’m joking haha. It’s a real hidden gem and amazing how much of it survives

Brilliant Jon. I love stuff like this. Such a shame and wish it can get preserved in some way.

I once did 870 in a day (Aberdeen and back) and I was shagged afterwards. But at least I was moving all the time, which the M25 can never promise, nor deliver. Well done Jon. I think you need help....

Absolutely zero reason you could ever dislike this man. "Hi, straight into it, here's what the video is about" _sarcastic british explanation, which is actually funny to us brits for once_ "bu-bye" what a legend.

Been along these roads more times than I care to remember!!! For me the biggest issue was at the end of M26 joining the M25, many times I got caught in slow moving or start stop traffic due to the poor layout and design!!! The M25 was a good idea but badly executed IMO and was never built with future traffic increases in mind, according to my me dear departed dad by the time the M25 was all finally linked up it was running a full capacity, still remember my dads A-Z of Greater London showing the M25 as proposed routes! Anyhow, really enjoyed the video, bought back many memories, please keep them coming as they are a great reminder of the roads I drove on!

It’s a pity the current owners or even adjacent home owners couldn’t just go out back and scrap the weeds and crap off the roadway and clean it up. I’d consider it lovely to have behind my place a bit of history like that. It’s also looks a great walking path.
